Thanks in advance for sharing. We have sailed twice on the Wonder but last cruise was three years ago. The only things I can remember about outlets was the one on the desk. I even remember bringing my hairdryer out there to plug it in but cannot remember why.

We will want to charge three phones on our upcoming cruise. Please share what you know about outlets in the rooms. Do the verandahs have an oulet?

I do seem to recall someone posting here before about a neat gadget they use that has several ports in it but, again, the details are foggy! And, no power strips, is that correct or not correct?

Thank YOU all!

No surge protectors are allowed onboard. A cube tap type of outlet multiplier is OK, as far as I know.

There are now outlets on both sides of the queen bed. And two outlets on the desk. Also a usb port (well, 2 of them) on the desk.

No outlets on the verandah.

I'll have to find my pictures from our Magic cruise and see if I got one of the outlets.

The only outlet in the bathroom is for shavers (lower voltage than a hair dryer). That's why you have to plug the hair dryer in at the desk.

Got off three weeks ago, two outlets on desk two outlets on each side of bed (one used by alarm clock) plus two USB

Please pardon a small, technical correction to your great (as usual) advice. The outlet in the bathroom carries the same voltage as those regular USA outlets at the desk. Its the current (AKA Amps) capability that's limited in the bathroom.

Yes, I retired from the electric supply industry, so these little things matter to me. ;)

At the risk of me sounding stupid, I feel like the outlets by the beds, don't look like outlets - meaning that had I not read on here that they were there, next to the beds, I don't think I would have realized. I don't really remember what they look like, but I remember thinking, "man, I don't think I would've realized what they were had I not already known."

On multiple cruises we have used the type that DCSWO recommended. We found it easiest plugging in at the dressing table for the phones

No problem, I was sure the wordage wasn't correct, but I was just trying to point out it's different than what's available on the desk outlets.

Here they are:
By the desk (sorry, wrong about the USB ports):

Another suggestion for those that have european plug adapters (perhaps from some previous vacation to the continent) that most current day electronics chargers will automatically operate from 110 (US) or 220 (Europe). So dig that adapter out from the back of that dusty draw and bring it along so you can have another place to plug in those devices.

Yes, I agree, those do not look like outlets to me. What am I missing??!! Thanks for the pics, but now I am even more confused LOL!! I think I will order the Anker unit and rely on it.

Thanks again, everyone!

They are outlets. There are two kinds (look at the photo of the outlets at the desk). The 2 prong outlets (one at desk, one behind TV. And 2 prong outlets (one on phone side of bed, 2 on other side of bed, 2 at desk). They look funny with the round circle attached to the slots.

The shaver outlet in the bathroom is also a two prong outlet.

Those outlets take both US and European plugs. The straight holes will take a normal US plug (without the third grounding plug) the two round holes would take a European cord. This is so that travelers from either of those locations (or any other location that uses either of these two plug types) won't need an adapter to use their own corded devices.

Does anyone know if the one that looks like a dismayed face will take a british plug, or will we still need adaptors? It doesn't look like it will to me...

Is the face one the round one? If so I think you're only supposed to use the hairdryer in there.

Nope. No British plugs.
But in my experience on the ships, British appliances worked better with a European adaptor over American ones. The American ones work but hairdryers have less power, phones take slightly longer to charge etc...

Thanks bbel, European it is.

I'd take both if you have them, gives you more options haha!
I dont know about guest cabins but I think theres more US plugs than European (for crew there was 2 of each, which worked fine for me because I always seemed to get American roommates haha)

OP, I would just like to point out that the Magic has wonderful hair dryers now. They still have the hose type hair dryer in the bathroom but in the desk they have a regular, powerful hair dryer. I no longer bring my own. The one in the desk is supposed to be plugged into the round outlet on the desk.
