Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

FE shipped out last week...hoping they make the ship. Christmas cards mailed out. Presents wrapped. DD9 is packed. I am partially packed. DH has not packed a thing, but that is normal for him.

Today is the last day of work and school.

We will be flying out tomorrow!!!! So excited to be coming to Florida. Thanks for all the warnings about cold weather, we did pack some gloves and jackets just in case. If there is sunshine and no rain, we will be a happy bunch.

Safe travels everyone and looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday.

How is NFL game coverage on the ship?

I heard that MNF will be on Arial-Vision (ESPN). Will other games be shown at Diversions or stateroom TV? I hope they carry more than just ESPN/ABC broadcasts. I can survive without NFL, but there ARE some huge division match-ups in the next couple of weeks... :happytv:

Here are some useful weather links:

Yes, Diversions will have games on. they had the Wimbeldon match on last year when we were on the Magic. They had it in Diversions and on the big screen. (Ariel-View). You can just walk in to Diversions, and if it's slow, you ask them to put it on whatever channel you want, (believe they have DirecTV or one of the other satellite services.) As for the stateroom TV's, they only have like 10-15 channels maybe, and I really wasn't looking but didn't see any games on. They do have ABC cause Dis owns it, but never saw games.

All of our men have asked me the same thing, but mostly want to know about the bowl games. I think Troy University is playing the first night we are on the ship and they are on ESPN. Gotta have that football fix! Since Auburn is in the National Championship game for the first time in my lifetime, DH said, 'do you want to skip the cruise and go to the game?' Well, given the price of the game tickets, flight, hotel, food, souvenirs, paying someone to keep the kids while we are gone (because we sure couldn't afford tickets for them too!) would probably be more than the cruise! I'll stick with the cruise and watch the game on TV:cheer2:

But just having that question asked ... congrats, what a great feeling! Bills went to the Super Bowl 4 years in a row, did not go to any of them, but just knowing I could have was enough. :cutie:

Change in plans. No school today and likely all week. SO instead of leaving after school Wed and taking 2 days to drive we will be leaving in the AM Wed and going the whole way. MK Thursday! Just made ressies at Shula's Steakhouse for Wednesday night's dins. That's right, dinner the day after tomorrow! It has been 20 years since I have seen the MK decorated for the holidays. :santa: YEAH!

:cool1: Dancin', dancin', dancin'. Dancin' in my sweatpants! :cool1:

That is so awesome for you guys. The MK during the holidays is guaranteed to get you in the spirit.

See living in the cold weather paid off. The only days our kids get off from school are during hurricanes and that season has thankfully passed for another year.

Thanks, Steve! So many people have been saying they can't remember the last time they saw this much snow in TN (6"). It is just pretty to me, not terrifying.

Now thinking maybe sit down Wolfgang Pucks as we are staying in Downtown Disney. Hmmmmmm.

Kind of funny, when we flew down in Feb earlier this year school was out the whole week and we could have left earlier than we did ...

And another decent local site displaying a forecast of wave heights for you to look at! Then again, obsessing about something that we don't have control of is futile - how about we spend more time deciding on the appropriate sail-away drink instead???
