I have cruised with a balcony before on Princess and loved it.

Is it worth th extra $1100 more that a Cat 6 is than a Cat 8 on DCL? Should I do it??

Help me decide.

I'm getting 2 nights at the Swan free using spg points(1/2 the cost of the upgrade) and I'm trying to justify it that way.

Thanks
Kathy

What cruise length and itinerary? If you are on a three night, you'll rarely be in your cabin so you might not miss a verandah. If you're on the seven night, and especially the Eastern, you might enjoy being able to sit out there and relax on sea days. But if you are tight for $$, remember that you can always enjoy the secret deck 7 aft verandah and/or the Rainforest if you don't have a verandah. That's what we did on our Wonder three-peat, when we had a secret porthole room.

this is a highly personal decision based on your budget...

yes, a verandah is awesome, but I rationalize that I am able to take an additional 3 day cruise with the savings we realize by booking cat 9 vs cat 6 for a 7-day.....
