Magic Bands with RCI Trade

I'm hoping someone will know the answer to my somewhat obscure question.....

We've been trading through Interval International and then later RCI to stay at Disney for over a decade. We have not made a trip to the World since the full magic band roll-out. Making dining reservations and the like has never been an issue in the past staying DVC on a timeshare trade, but I have no idea how it works for magic bands.

Someone, please enlighten me.

Once you get your RCI trade confirmation, call DVC Member Services and identify yourself as an in-bound RCI exchange. Ask them for the Disney Reservation confirmation number which you can then link to your My Disney Experience (MDX) account. Once you link the reservation to MDX, there will be an option to customize your MagicBands.
