My DW bought some. Given the cost of the Magic Band + and if you have a child (or an adult like me) who loses things then this might be a worthwhile buy. Especially, if a little one is particularly passionate about a character and will have a breakdown over losing something, it could be a life saver.

I don't know if I would say "necessary" but some people do have trouble with their bands coming off. I wear mine on the tighter side, so I ahven't really had that, but if you bump it on somethign, it could open. If you want the peace of mind there is nothing wrong with them.

Disney used to sell sliders and such, but they haven't in a long time. My 50 Anniversary band did come with a metal one.

Thank you. I will get them just in case. Better safe than sorry

We bought them, not sure what brand but they looked just like those.

They were worthless. They didn't stay in place. My son lost his jack skellington band and was devastated. It's been over a year and we still hear about it.

My wife's band kept coming off even with the thing on there.

They aren't worth the $8 in my opinion.

Yeah, I defintiely can't vouch for a specific kind. There are tons of them online, but many may be cheap junk.

We use BITBELT. They are very light and you don't feel them at all on the MB. Been using them for many years and still using the same packet I bought.

Yes we did have a MB fly off on RNR so we always use the belt.

Another recommendation for BitBelt - all three of use has lost our magic band at least once and had to backtrack to find it. We even made a game out of "Magic Band check!" everytime we got off a ride. Bit belts absolutely work and I'm so glad I spent the $10 to buy a pack. We are no longer playing the "Magic Band check!" game LOL

I never wear my MagicBand without my BitBelt. When we were just at MK on the 16th, my band popped open at some point - but was still on my arm thanks to the BitBelt!

We do not have MB+ but if we do we would use something. Too many people have lost MB+ as the bands come undone too easily. One of the many, many reasons we're holding out on purchasing MB+.

Another BitBelt user. They hold the magi band in place and I have had no issues with potentially losing them. I have given many people the information in the parks when they are having problems with their MBs popping open or off.

Ditto on Bitbelt! They have worked great for me! It's needed more for the MB+ or whatever the light up ones are called (can't keep track)! I had the new MB on and had not bothered to use the Bitbelt, not even 5 minutes after I put it on, it fell off. Was still in the room so I didn't lose it. I put the one Bitbelt on and no more issues! You can find them on Amazon, definitely worth it.

This is what we bought off Amazon for $8.99. Hope they work.

Mickey and Minnie 6 Pack (Bitbelts 2 of Each Color: Black, Red and Pink with White dots)
