Magic Bands…Sharing Room but 2 separate credit cards on acct?

My friend and I will be traveling together and will be sharing a room. We would love to each have our own credit cards attached to our own magic bands for charging purposes. I know this should technically be possible, but the last I read about it (granted that was when this all started I think!) there were a lot of problems and issues where the cards were being charged incorrectly or not able to charge at all with the bands. Does anyone have any recent experience with this and how it worked out? Also, we'd set this up when we check in at the desk, right?

Did this in December with no issues. Yes, you set it up at check-in.

I've tried to do it twice...has yet to work! I would put one cc on the account and then just let the second person use their cc directly. Yes, a pain. You can try to put them both on when you check in. Just be sure to go down to the front desk a day or so before you check out to be sure the accounts are split properly.

My husband and I do this on every trip. Just make sure to stop by the front desk on Day 2 to get a copy of the folio to make sure the charges are going to the correct accounts. It's a lot easier to untangle a day's worth of charges rather than being surprised at the end of the trip that the charges were all going on the one card. They can always fix it, though.

I've done it twice with no problems. The first time there were two of us and everything was split perfectly. The second time there were three adults in our condo with 2 on one card and me on another and everything again was split perfectly.

That's good to know. I was just asking this question yesterday. My friend and I are staying at OKW in May and I would hate to have all my charges on his account.

Thanks everyone! So we'll give it a try, but we'll make sure to check the charges on our second day to make sure it's all being charged to the correct accounts then! Good idea!

We have done it twice as well, April 2014 at Bay Lake and December 2014 at the Beach Club- no issues either time. I second the suggestion to stop by the front desk on day 2 and ask for a printout to be sure it is working as you requested. We plan to do this again in 2 weeks so hopefully it is still working.

Checked in yesterday. Asked if we could have different cards associated with different magic bands. They said yes but we decided we didn't need to try it.
