Magic Band- The Little Mermaid

Has anyone seen a Little Mermaid Magic band in the parks or somewhere I can purchase one from? My DD20 loves the Little Mermaid and the only ones I can find are on Ebay and I read that it's not good to buy one from Ebay as it won't work for our upcoming visit. She doesn't care if it's the new or old version she just really wants Ariel on it. I'm hoping I get one for her for our upcoming trip in May. I looked at the Disneystore.com and the shop parks app but I didn't see any there. All assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You'll be fine ordering one off eBay or Amazon as long as its new and hasn't been linked to anyone. It'll work fine.

I personally haven't, but plenty of people have. Just look in the description or send the seller a message to make sure it has never been linked to someone's account. Usually it'll be brand new.

The batteries can't be changed. The bands have two ways of communicating..short range (touch points): scanning for park entrance, scanning fast past, paying for stuff if on property. And long range (no touch point): videos and pictures automatically connected to your MDE account.

The short range function won't die. The long range function will and has a life of about 3 years, maybe even 4.

You could also call Disney merchandise and see if they can locate the band for you. I believe that style is still sold in the park, it just might not be on the app or website for purchase.

Have you thought about buying a skin for a plain band? We got ours from Magic Your Bands and were able to upload our own images. I made a lilo and stich one for myself and a planes one for my husband. They were pretty inexpensive and held up fine the whole trip.

I did look at that as the prices we're inexpensive but when I uploaded a picture it didn't look all that great so, I just have up on that.

or MDE app by typing in the code on the back of the magicband. There's one on ebay right now for only 30 with free S&H

Why not get vinyl decals from Etsy? We used this shop: www.etsy.com/shop/MadHappy Everyone got to pick their own characters and got their initials and ears for like $3 each. The shop was really fast to ship and made all of our custom character requests.

Almost all the princesses are available in the parks. Their stock comes and goes on the app and website. You can also usually make one in the giftshop at the exit of Space Mountain and even add her name to it. They have many different designs there that aren't sold in bulk.
