So, I horridly screwed up and didn't preorder our magic bands - I thought I had but didn't. (Word of warning, you will only get the check out pop up when everyone in the party has either selected or declined their magic bands). Anyway, since it was my failure, I'll be buying all of us new ones. We are staying at the Grand Floridian. I'm assuming the selection will be better at the Magic Kingdom rather than the hotel. Is that correct? And should we get the key card to get us into the park so that I can spend $100 or so dollars on magic bands (Gosh I'm mad at myself!) Thanks

Is it too late to order and pick up at checkin?

The pin shop in Frontierland tends to have more unique offerings even though the selection is smaller. On July 4th I even saw Apple Watch bands in there.

Hi @kylenne! Were they Disney Apple Watch bands? Edit to add: Not meaning to sidetrack GCorbetts thread… Sorry. ♥️

Yes!! I meant to take pictures but my walk up for Liberty Tree Tavern was called so I had to bail. There weren’t too many designs, I remember a basic Mickey one but that’s it.

I was floored though, it’s the one thing I’ve really wanted with the magic mobile rollout.

If you have time you can swing by disney springs on arrival. Otherwise yeah get cards and use them for park entry then buy the bands in MK

Thanks but how does that work for folks without smartphones - my twins are only 3 and while they are sometimes spoiled, we're not at the cell phone point
My youngest is 13, so I admit I hadn't thought of it. I looked it up and tested with my account. All of the passes can be added to and accessed on one device, so you can use kids tickets on your phone. Go to the menu section of the app, select Magic Mobile and it will give you the option of which passes you want added to the mobile wallet on your device.
I'm assuming since the kids are only three that they don't have old magic bands, but if you do, they can still be used.

I'm planning to do this - what's the best store for MBs?

For purchasing Magic Bands at Disney Springs - what do you mean by "best"?
Biggest selection?
Or shortest amount of time needed to get in and out of the store?

You can add their ticket to your apple wallet. I think there are instructions on the Disney blog. If you google it I'm sure you will find the instructions.

Maybe I've got it wrong but when checking in I just pick up any needed magic bands from the desk. Not all the colors available but it’s free so I don’t care, LOL.

Give a call to Disney and ask. You can possibly pick up the colors you want if pre ordered from the check in desk too.
