magic band question

Hello: I have lots of magic band in my name, I going to WDW with other family members who will have their own room. The question is: Can I give them each one of my old magic bands to to use with their room, rather than relying on a room keycard? Thanks Canadian Tom

Magic bands when registered to a user cannot be registered to another user. They are one and done. Old bands should still work, as long as you do not have too many. It seems when you get over 10 active bands the system has an issue and decides randomly which bands to keep active.

I've had better luck with the key card than the magic band

If they have smart phones, they can also open the room with their Disney App besides just the keycard.

You can have a CM, if you find a friendly one, reassign a magic band to someone else. It takes time, and a CM with the know how to do this. It was done on our last trip, March '22 to modify my old bands, 5 of them to my daughter and 4 G-kids.
