Magic band question

My band is linked to an old non-expire 8 day ticket (with two days left) as well as my newly purchased 3 day hopper. I'm going to be in the parks later this month for 3 days - which I purchased the 3 day hopper for. In October I'll be in the parks - but only for 2 days - which I'm planning to use the old non-expire tickets for. Is it necessary to go to guest services and have them prioritize my tickets so I use the 3 day for this trip and save the non-expire for the future? If so, can I do that at my hotel or do I have to go to the park to do it?
Thanks everyone!

Yes; it’s the only way to prioritize when you have a non-expiry ticket that can’t be reassigned away from your Profile.

The prioritizing can be done at a Ticket Window or Guest Relations.
