This disturbs me. We ate at the Coral Reef yesterday and had difficulty entering my PIN. The response was slow so I entered the first number twice, thinking I had not pressed firmly enough. I entered the first number twice, followed by the 2nd and 3rd numbers, never entering the last digit. I know for sure that I entered the wrong number but it still went through.

Has anybody else experienced this?

No. But did it show up on your room charges? If not, I'll bet somebody else is disputing a charge at their resort front desk.

It was our last meal and we have already checked out. The hotel receipt was printed before we ate and I don't see it yet on our charge card pending charges.

I immediately questioned it with out server and she showed me the barcode that always comes up when the PIN is correct and the bill can be charged. She said it came up just like it is supposed to do with a correct PIN.

But shouldn't the pin tie into the credit card/MDE account? Entering a wrong pin shouldn't mean it's charged to an account with that pin. Otherwise everyone who had the same pin would be disputing charges left and right.

Hmmm. Sounds like you missed a heart beat there. I can't see how this can happen.
