Magic Band Battery Life

Does anyone have an approximation of how long the battery on the magic band will last? We have a couple old ones from about a year ago and were considering using those in September. I have to buy at least one new band for my son(he lost it) so figured I'd find out if I should be ordering a couple more just to be safe.

Thanks. I found an older thread where answers were anywhere from 2-5. I'm risk averse so might just order more to be safe

We were there in 2013 when they first came out & just booked for September. We asked the CM about using them or using the new ones. She said the battery life is 2 yrs so she suggested we use the new ones.
