Magic Band at Check-in

DH & I are local AP's and go to WDW every 2-3 months so we are building up quite the MB collection at the moment. I know that you can use any of them interchangeably and we did this on our last visit in March (Ok, I did. DH could care less if he "matches" ). My question is, does it matter which MB you use to initially check-in? I know they just read your MDE account, but for some reason I always feel like I HAVE to use the set that was sent for that particular resort ressie when checking-in. Is this true or false? Also, would any MB (other than the one used to check-in) be able to open the room door? Looking back on our last visit, DH always opened the door and since he never switched MB's to match like his crazy wife I am not sure if that is possible Thanks in advance!

All of our MB (4 sets) worked to open the door at our resort during our April stay at POR. My son tried them all the morning after we checked in. The CM at check in said only mine would work (my original MB from our stay last July) since I left everyone in the car when I checked in (and didn't being their MB in with me, but they all worked our entire stay with no problem.
