Oh definitely. I have grown my mafia just through the DIS. If you're not on the DIS or a friend of a DISSER and I don't know you I don't even bother friending you for MW.

My plan is if I ever do reach the 501 limit it will be through here and ppl I already know.

Ditto! And I have to say that all the DISers have been great to play with. Very generous with the gifting, the backup on jobs and defense, and great sources of knowledge. (Oh, and the friends/partners of DISers, too; "guilty" by association. )

Of course, it seems a little bit odd to enjoy both the DIS and a game called Mafia Wars, but I like because we're complex personalities. Or maybe it's because Disney gets so much of my real-life income that I don't mind being robbed blind of my virtual money!

Gotta question for folks... I have a Mafia Wars account just to feed stuff to my friends who are regular players. I really don't care about what level I am or any of that. I am wondering, though, if there is something I can do to get people to stop robbing me. I have no interest in that aspect of the game, and so I'm really just looking for something I can do differently, maybe using my reward points for specific items, that will just shut robbers down flat.

Ideas?

I think you need to focus on defense--it won't stop them from attacking but it will make it harder for them to win. They way they changed the robbing aspect of it has made it so you really can't not do anything. Before when they robbed you, you just didn't repair your buildings. Now you don't have that option it seems. I do like that it doesn't effect your ability to gain funds from your buildings now and I haven't had someone repeatedly attack/rob me. I like this change, it's for the better I think.

I've been doing that ever since I read something somewhere that someone put all their points into defense up to the max of 2000 to stop from getting beat in fights. I'm only up to three hundred something, but I've noticed my defeats have gone way down.
