We closed on the 20th. Got 210 at VWL

We wanted to make our 1 trip in Dec and then in May 2002. We bought annual passes and want to sqeeze as much out of them as possible!

As we have found from reading this board the 1st week of Dec fills up quick!

Only days avail at VWL were 17, 18, 19, (1 bed) so we took them and are staying at OKW 14, 15, 16 studio.

I know/hope we'll like KW and moving to our preferred home with a larger room will be something to look forward to.


I used to live in Fl and remember turning on the AC on Christmas day. But still worried about traveling (driving)this time of year. Looking forward the decorations!

Welcome Home! We go to OKW each May and December, so we heartily recommend those times of year.

Since you didn't get the days you wanted, you should ask to be put on the waitlist for the days and resort you really want. If they become available, you can change your reservation, and if not you just use the ressie you've already made. We did that for Dec 1999, and got exactly what we wanted after being on the waitlist for a couple of months.

If you would really prefer VWL for the whole trip, you should try the waitlist.

Units are brought into DVC as the selling progresses. Since VWL is still selling, likely more units (if not all remaining units) will be brought into DVC before December, and that would likely open up reservation possibilities.

WELCOME HOME! Glad you were able to get reservations at OKW for the nights you couldn't get into VWL. Did you waitlist for the first three nights of the trip? Or was the list already closed? If not and you stay at OKW the first three days, I think you'll enjoy it. It has a very relaxed atmosphere. Our home resort is BWV but made late reservations in March and couldn't get in there so stayed at OKW. Loved the place! Happy vacationing for years to come!

Just wanted to welcome you and say we will also be there during December of 2001 AND May 2002!! We've gone the past couple years in May and it's been WONDERFUL! Have heard great things about early December too!

And now we like the idea. Get to get to see another resort. We stay in studio there, our choice. So by the time we get to the 1 bed at VWL we'll feel upgraded and I don't want to use all those points for a 1 bed for all 6 nights, so it all works out I think.

We'll have this trip then 2 more in 2002.
