I officially rescheduled my Oct trip for May. It is costing me $23 more a nite, but I get to stay 2 extra nites because I don't have to get them back home for school. YAY!! I may even add more as the trip gets closer. I did get the AAA rate. I am so excited. I can now spend even more time just exploring the fort!!!

I am still bummed because the original departure was 23 days away, but the new one is 259 days away. It seems like an eternity. With the construction on my house and school starting and everything going on though, trying to get ready to go in 23 days would have not been a pleasant thing. I will spend my weekends in October camping at local campgrounds. I will call them our dry run disney trips. LOL This extra time will give me a chance to be better prepared.

Now, I also wanted to note that when I was checking rates and available online while I was on hold, it was showing no availability. I had accidentally put in Thurs to Wed dates instead of Thurs to 10 days later Sun dates. So, definitely try adding days to a week on to your travel dates and then remove the ones you don't need later.

I did buy an extreme 5 day coleman cooler the other day. I am waiting for the fans to go on sale to buy a couple of those now. Also, I am thinking that a lot of those plastic drawers that wally world stocked up on for the college crowd will be clearancing out as well. I think I would like the plastic drawers over the plastic bins.

Still trying to figure out how to transport the fishing poles w/o breaking them. Any ideas?

I'm glad to hear you were able to reschedule your trip. How is your daughter feeling?..
We especially enjoy Disney in May. You will probably be there for Flower and Garden Festival. Epcot is beautiful then. Given that you'll be able to spend more time, I'm sure the switch will be worth it in the long run.
As far as the fishing poles...I'm not sure what type of car you have, or if you have a rack on top. We have bungeed (is that a word?:laughing:) them to the roof rack on the top of the truck. Worked out fine.

Thanks I will try the bungee/roof rack thingy on our next short trip and see how it goes.

My daughter is back at school and doing fine.

That's awesome news!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

and, glad you rescheduled the trip...even if it is a longer time to wait. It will get here before you know it.
