We are here now in the 800 loop. When we went to set up, our full wall slide came out crooked. The back end came out a foot, the front end didn't move. :(

So now we have mesages out to a few of the mobile units ad well as Lazydsys in Tampa where we bought the coach last year. I hate that we now have to deal with this while on vacation. Hope we can get it fixed in time to leave.

Ugh, no fun to deal with that away from home. I hope you are able to have fun despite having to juggle handling the issue. Hang in there!

Wow that sucks. I hope ya'll brought the cocktails with you, sounds like the PERFECT time for refreshments to me.
But seriously, when ya'll get it fix'd/figured out I would sure like to know what happened to it, :confused3

oh no! Hope all goes well for u folks. WE HAVE BROKEN DOWN OURSELVES ON ROUTE. Not fun but try to make the best of it. Will be thinking of you and praying it doesn't cost all that much(sure hope you have insurance) No matter what try to enjoy the fort!

Chrisin, we had to get some on site repairs back in 2012 and I highly recommend Camper Connection. Did a great job. Hope everything works out well.

We have an 08 Fleetwood Excursion with a full wall slide. When dh pressed button to open it, the back end went out a foot, the front end didn't move. Most of the onsite guys we called don't have the module needed to override and reset the slide computers.

My hubby went to camping world this morning and they may be able to help us tomorrow. Sad part is this same thing happened in July and we had the computer board replaced. We are beginning to think we should have bought a different unit. We are considering trading in as we are now nervous about it happening over and over again.

We have a message in with Camping Connection too, they are closed on weekends.

Can you bring it out manually? Usually the slides have a wrench/ ratchet fitting underneath to bypass the motor.

After I read Chrisin's problem I did just that, went out & made sure I knew where the slide-out wrench/rachet is on our RV.

Sucks to be broke down but couldn't think of a better place to break down ;) hope u make the best of it

Best of luck that it can get sorted out. It sounds like one of the two motors are not working, so I hope its not the board again. If it is, then there is another issue (like wiring or the motor.) I hope you can get that sorted out and enjoy the trip.

That's no fun! But at least you are at the Fort.

My slide did the same thing right after I bought the trailer. It was a $0.25 bolt that broke. Took less than 5 minutes to fix. Hopefully your's is the same.

Christine,

I hope you've encountered some Disney magic pixiedust: to offset your trailer troubles.

I also hope you found the source of the problem by now.

Honestly, we are not feeling the "magic" so far this trip. We had a few problems and are not happy with the way some of guest services have treated us.

Camping Connections is coming out tomorrow (Wed.) to see about getting the slide back in so that we can get home or to a repair shop. They said there is a way to crank it back in manually, but if done wrong it could cause damage. Seeing as how the slide is out so crooked, we want help with this.

We have been on the phone with our salesperson at Lazydays in Tampa, and we are seriously considering trading up. We may be driving home in a new to us unit and leaving this one behind. If not, we may bring this unit back to the factory and drop it off for a few weeks for a complete overhaul on the slide units because on top of this slide, one other one doesn't always close on the first try.

This is not a good start for sure, but know, good things are to come!! A set back leads to a great reward in the end. We have a back slide that had a similar issue and we had to use a manual crank, then after that it worked fine, might just be a slide adjustment needed like ours and not a major issue, we are hoping for you to have a better end of the trip then the beginning!

Hoping for Pixie Dust for you guys! :thumbsup2

I hope things turn around for you. Sorry the trip was not perfect and I only hope it has improved over your stay.
