We have the DDP for an upcoming trip, but we're seriously considering upgrading to the DxDP so we made a few more reservations in anticipation.
We have hoppers, and we wanted a lunch in DHS since we're planning to eat dinner in Epcot around 9pm. I was able to get Minnie's Seasonal Dine at Hollywood and Vine, but only for two, and there are three of us.
Obviously they are under no obligation whatsoever to seat three people on a reservation for two, but I'm trying to figure out how likely it is. If they can't seat all of us, my son would likely see if Hollywood Brown Derby could accomodate him as a walk in, but I'm regarding it as a back-up plan. If it's likely that he can't dine with us, I'd go ahead and make him the reservation (he'd enjoy it, but it's very much not the kind of food that appeals to my husband). If they can usually accommodate, we'll take our chances, and figure worst case the kid will find himself some quick service if Brown Derby doesn't have availability (although I figure a single at lunchtime in mid-December has pretty good odds).
Any experience with this? I tried a reservation for four, and there was no availability for that either, although I had my choice of times for two.
