I reserved a table (online) for 2 people instead of 3 people at Tony's. I noticed my mistake when I pulled up all my dining reservations online on WDW site. I tried to change it to 3 people but now no tables available.

I did not cancel the ressie for 2 people. What is the likehood of them seating the 3 of us without a problem or without a wait.

TY

I don't think it will be a problem to get a table. Whether you need to wait is another question.

1) If they put you at a 4-top table, no problem.
2) But, if the ressie fit a 2-top table, then you are out of luck.
3) Tony's is busy enough that the ressies cover all tables.
4) My *guess* is that you have a 2-top.
5) You can show up with three people.
6) But, be prepared if one is turned away.

I have added people before and it was always fine. Go, say you're actually 3 and not 2, and see what happens.

I recommend that you keep trying on line as many times as possible to get a reservation for 3. There are a lot of variables to consider: if you're going during a busy time (Easter week, summer, etc) or if it's a slow time, how busy it is at Tony's when you arrive, if they are behind in seating, etc. that determines if they can or cannot seat the 3rd person.

You may get some pixie dust by walking up and being seated as a threesome, but the host/hostess could just as easily say that only 2 of you can be seated.

Mistakes happen and restaurants know this. I would not worry about it at all.

In fact, anything reasonable is able to be done in Disney. You may have to wait a little longer, but they will sit you all. Just arrive a little early if you can and explain the situation.

Have fun!!

Is this a Fantasmic! dining package? You could also try calling the dining line and see if they can help you.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I will play dumb and arrive for my ressie (maybe even a little early) and say "No it is for 3 people not 2"

I did call Disney yesterday and explained what happened and asked that they change it to 3 people. They would not do it. I will continue to check online daily for an opening for 3 people. The ressie is for March 5th which is a saturday night. Want to have dinner then watch the parade at 7. I guess that is what everyone else wants to do also.

ADR are not actual reservations where they have a table waiting for you when you arrive. Basically when you check in for your ADR, your name is put on a waiting list, and you will be sat in order at the next available table that meets your party size. I would try to change your ADR, but if you can't, I would still try to check in at your normal time, and let the hostess know you will actually be 3, not 2. I am pretty sure they will be able to accomidate you, but you may have a longer wait then you would if there was just two, or worst case, your told "no". I highly, highly doubt you will be told "no" unless you walk up with a huge group of extra people.
