Ok- starting my itinerary for my California trip, are 2-3 hours suffucient for each of these stops in LA. Or maybe 2-3 for the wax museum, and maybe 1 for La Brea? Thanks for any help.

I went to Madame Toussaud's on my first trip in September. The amount of time you can spend is really variable. I went straight through without taking any pictures and was done in under an hour. I got a good deal on a combo ticket with Starline Tours of stars homes. But, I also had tickets to a taping of The Tonight Show so I needed to rush through the Wax museum.

OK, that's good then. We should be able to go through in about 2-2 1/2 hours. Thanks alot!!
:thumbsup2

We did both of these last week. We spent about 2 maybe 2.5 hours at Madame Toussaud's. That being said, we are a family of 6 and we all spent time posing for pictures with the wax figures. If you don't plan to take pictures then it might not take as long. We really LOVED it here. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We went to the La Brea Tar pits last week also. You can walk the grounds for free but you have to pay to park. The grounds only took 30 minutes. It was not as exciting as I thought it would be. There was trash in some of the pits. The tar pit lake was cool and we saw lots of bubbling there though. It is to the left of the museum building. We did not do the museum as it didn't get great reviews on trip advisor and we didn't have much time. Here is another thread with some information I posted regarding Hollywood.
