I am a long time Macy's shopper, decades of loyalty. Today I asked the clerk why she just shoved my five pieces in the bag instead of folding them like they used to do years ago (this shoving in the bag has been happening out here for 2 years or so). THese were career pieces. I was very nice and told her that Kohl's clerks shove clothes unfolded in their bags, and I was surprised that Macy's was following suit. The other cashier turned around and said gleefully that Macy's management no longer requires their clerks to fold clothes before bagging. I was stunned! Any Macy's clerks out there? Is this true? I guess Nordstrom's is the last hold out of quality retail customer service. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since customer service seems to be on the decline in many areas. SIGH.
