We are looking to get a new stroller for our 2 1/2 year old for Disney. We tried out the Volo at the store and loved it. Wondering if it is worth the money to get the Triumph for it to recline some. Also she is 2 1/2 so this is mostly for the disney trip and when we are at the mall with her.
We WILL be getting one of them just wondering if it is worth the extra money to get the Triumph.

We bought two Volos last year. Our kids were 4 and turning 2 at the time of the trip. We tried both the Volo and Triumph at a BabiesRUs before buying on ebay. Both kids liked the Volo, we thought it would be more comfortable in the heat, and we didn't think the recline was necessary.

We only spent a few hours in the parks at a time, took very long naps every afternoon, and got to sleep between 9 and 11pm every night. If our kids had been tired in the parks, I'm sure they would have fallen asleep in the Volos. If you're planning for your DD to nap in the stroller than the Triumph might be worth it, otherwise the Volos are great.

Our DD 4 fell asleep leaving the park our last afternoon, waiting for the bus. (We skipped the nap that day because we had already checked out and were planning to leave by 2.) She was just over 40" at the time. Not comfortable for a real nap, but they loved touring the parks in them and still fit comfortably a year later.

Agree with everything PP said! If your DD likes to recline and/or nap in the stroller, then go for the triumph. if not, then I would say Volo. The weight and carry strap make it perfect for disney!

We just tested out the Volo, Triumph, and Quest trying to decide which to get. We decided on the Quest, but DD is only 8 months and we needed the adjustable foot rest and better reclining feature. The Volo and the Triumph seemed pretty similar to us..the only big noticable difference is the fabrics (Volo is more mesh, Triumph is fabric) and the recline (slight) on the Triumph. There are great deals to be had on both. Esp. if you look for last years models. HTH :goodvibes

Yes we were looking at last years models on here and were very interested due to what great prices we were finding!

I don't mean to but into this conversation, but I just saw a great price for the Volo and was about to buy it, but now reading this post I might have to reconsider.....My son will be 10 months old when we travel to Disney (which is why I am getting the stroller)...Does it not recline at all? What are your thoughts on the Volo for a 10 month old?

Thanks!

so would those be the only differences between the two?

The Volo has areas of mesh fabric, the Triumph is like a regular plush stroller fabric. We liked the mesh because our kids get hot easily and it was nice that they were getting air through the back instead of getting all sweaty.

The Volo does not recline at all. I really can't tell you whether it would work for your 10 month old. It was comfortable for my kids, and the seat/backing is a flexible fabric, so they could have snuggled up if they wanted to fall asleep. If you're taking naps and not staying in the parks all day/night it may be fine. I honestly had never used a stroller before I bought these because I did not like them. I always carried my babies, wore them in a front carrier/sling, or they used a backpack carrier when they were bigger. I bought the Volos just for our Disney trip last year, but my youngest was 23mos.

I would suggest if you have a BabiesRUs nearby to bring your son and take them both for a "test drive" before you decide what to buy.

We bought ours on ebay (new, 2007 model I believe). I think the seller was babyproductstore. We got them for around $75 each including shipping. I just bought one for my mom from the same seller that came with an extra seat/hood so you could swap the colors. All of them came with the rain covers as well-- some don't, so make sure you read the description.
