Anyone know how to wash the canopy? Is is possible? Mine has gotten dirty from when the wheels touch the canopy when it is folded and I can't figure how to take the canopy off.

I have tried warm water only but it doesn't seem to work and am scared to put any cleaner on it.

Any suggestions?

I don't have a Mac stroller but I do have a Kidco which looks similar and I have just removed the canopy by partially folding the stroller and unhooking the plastic clips that hold it to the frame on each side, slide it off the handles and threw it in the wash (and you can do this with the seat part as well). I followed the washing instructions on the instruction sheet the stroller came with (it's small and in a plastic pouch so I just keep it in the pouch that holds the rain cover on the back of the hood).

I wouldn't wash it, it's not recommended to machine wash the hood (by Maclaren). I don't even know if you can take it off completely...

I would try using something like Resolve Upholstery Cleaner and a damp sponge. Should work pretty well.

Ours is an '04, but I can't imagine they've changed the model that much...our hood comes off completely. It is a little tricky but there are little tab-type things you push to get the clamp-y thing that goes around the tube to loosen so you can take it off. I know this probably makes no sense...but maybe it will help if you look at it again. And we have taken the hood off and washed it by hand in the laundry tub with warm water and a but of detergent, and a stiff bristle brush on the rub spots. Then we let it line dry. Same goes for the seat fabric, we've done that too. HTH!
