Macie and Ken's Escape Wedding SBP/Dessert Party 6.7.11

Hi everybody! Like many other brides, I have spent countless hours looking through other PJs...I finally decided it's time for me to start my own! I especially thought it was time, since our wedding isn't very far away. Here's a little bit of information about our happily ever after
-Wedding:
June 7, 2011 (yes...that's less than 5 months away!)
Sea Breeze Point 10:00 am
Dinner at Cape May Cafe (Beach Club Resort)
Dessert Party at Morocco (or United Kingdom)
-United Kingdom is my first and favorite choice...BUT we would for sure have to have 20 people, or else we will be booted! This thought terrified me..so I decided on Morocco just to be safe. My WP said that if the United Kingdom venue is still open in the days before the wedding we might be able to switch that would be wonderful!

We have been together for about six and a half years...and each one of them has been wonderful! We got engaged on May 17, 2008 (talk about a long engagement!...it will be three years when we finally tie the knot). Here's how he popped the question:

My family vacations in Disney every year (we're DVC members). When Ken and I got together it didn't take long until he was able to take part in one of our magical vacations...and he loved it! He is now a Disney lover just like me!! Anyways, my family decided to take a short vacation in May of 2008. I had no idea that there was a hidden agenda to our trip...Ken and my family planned the whole trip around the proposal. Ken told me he wouldn't be able to come due to work (and I believed him!). Long story short...he flew down with his family and surprised me in front of Cinderella Castle. I turned around and there he was walking towards me. It was the happiest & the most shocked that I've ever been!
IF I could figure out how to put pictures on here I would...I will save that for another day. Hope I didn't bore you!

Awesome story, it is super sweet! We had a long engagement too, we got engaged in Jan 2008 and we are getting married in May, so our time frames are pretty similar. I can't wait to see the pics oh and if you want to add pictures: when your creating a message click on the picture icon that looks like a picture of a cartoon mountain and a moon and put in the picture URL of the picture you want

Awww! Welcome & Congrats!!

Me and my DF will be together 7 years this March- so we are right up on that level of togetherness! Haha... our engagement was a little shorter, but only because we had already been together 6 1/2 years when he proposed!

Love the black and pink together! Very sharp!

I've had all three. Beaute Speciale is AMAZING! Tanis Armstrong is really hard to get a hold of and you just have to be persistant..if she doesn't email you back, call her or email her again.

What kind of cake are you having/did you have? I'm having the classic romance cake...but I'm still not sure what flavor I want...I thought I might be a little different and try an almond cake with raspberry mousse filling. Has anybody had this combination or either of the flavors? Do they taste good?

Aww..your sweet! I can't believe its almost been a year since I've been married. You are getting married 2 days before I did. Just make sure to enjoy every minute of the planning process because it flies!

About cakes...I had the elegant scrolls cake with chocolate filling..it was delish!

It is going fast! I finally have time to do nothing but plan my wedding...and I am sooo excited!! I will be sure to enjoy it ....by the way, congratulations on the little one!!!

Oh the dress. Isn't the dress one of the best parts of a wedding?! Initially I bought another dress...but it didn't take me long to decide that it just wasn't THE dress. I then feel in love with Maggie Sottero dresses. After I tried on a couple, I knew I was going to be a Maggie bride. This is the dress...


By the way.....the DF is also part of disboards. So, Ken if you are snooping on my board...PLEASE do not scroll down, I would really really like this dress to be a surprise!!

I just love how fun it is! I fell in love instantly when I put it on


Also, here are the shoes. I love love love my shoes. I always knew that I wanted to wear bright pink shoes. My mom says it fits my personality

Finally...I am having a dessert party that night and I fear for my poor feet! I know they are going to be sooo tired and sore....so I decided to get some cute wedges that won't be so hard on my feet. This is what I found:

Love your dress!!! And we are doing dinner at the Cape May Cafe, also!! We are having an at home reception in July, so we were looking for something a little more "low key" while in Disney. I am hoping it is as wonderful as the reviews say, and I will surely let you know how it goes for me in May. Good Luck!!! can't wait to read more!
