Macedonia, Ohio...Anyone???

Hi, I found a home I love in Macedonia!! Before we look at it, I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the area?? We live about 1 1/2 hours south of there right now. My DH works in Solon, so we want to move closer. We were set on Twinsburg, but now I found a house in Macedonia that looks perfect.

So if you have info, good or bad, please spill it

My husband works in Twinsburg, we live about 20 min east of there. Macedonia is a nice town, it has grown alot in the past few years. Route 8 runs thru it and it gets pretty busy if you are heading toward Akron (South) I don't really know alot about the schools, sorry. There are many new beautiful houses being built though. Have you checked out Aurora at all? it's just a few miles east of Solon. Portage county, great schools, more of a rural area but close to 422 to get to Cleveland quickly, the Aurora Farms outlet malls are there and Geauga Lake waterpark is there.

Thank you! We did check out Aurora, Solon, Stow, and Twinsburg. We really liked Twinsburg, but then I got sent this house. We haven't seen it in person yet---going today, but it is everything we are looking. Only thing is, I haven't reserached Macedonia. So I needed some opinions on it!!

I live in Northfield and a few streets away it is considered Macedonia. What would you like to know? My daughter has been to 2 of the elementary schools for the area. One was awesome and one was okay. Macedonia does have nice houses around there, but frankly I wish I lived somewhere else. We have been saving to move.
I think there are a lot of noneducated, not so nice people in the area. Just my opinion.
The Macedonia rec center is nice.
