Ménière's disease (maybe) & PTSD

Well it's been a busy summer for me. Ive been having trouble with my right ear since June and they think i might have Ménière's disease. I had a ENG/ECOG/CT SCAN & Hearing test done and everything shows okay but i still keep having ear pain/pressure and fullness. I am going for a second opinion Friday (10-30) .

In the mean time the doctor told me to avoid some things and put me on some meds. He told me to watch my salt intake, and caffeine until they figure it out. So i am a little worried about that when i go to Disney, The soda part is easy but i need to do more research on the whole salt thing.

The second part of my story is the PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Last year around this time i was misdiagnosed with a serious incurable health problem, which come to find out i NEVER even had. But the trauma of the testing, not knowing and misdiagnosing really took a toll on me. I had been trying to deal with the problems on my own until about August of this year. I had a really bad break down at work my boss was really great about it and told me i really needed to get help. So i did. I went to see my doctor and he put me on some medication to deal with the anxiety. It seems to be working very well but with the upcoming trip i am getting a bit scared. I used to get mild panic attacks before i started my medication. I have been trying to "test" my self by going to places like the mall, eating out in restaurants and stuff that used to "set me off". So far Ive been doing okay but i still get kind of nervous and sick to my stomach. I also do not have a gallbladder so i have to try to avoid fatty foods because that makes me feel worse.

Does anyone have any advice or either on these issues? I just want to have the best trip possible and i dont want these issues to control my life anymore.

If this is all from one doctor it may be time for you to change doctors.

Also, if it is you primary care physician who gave you the medications for your anxiety, you may be better off going to talk to a psychiatrist (who can prescibe medications) rather than a psychologist who cannot issue prescriptions.

haha no its a two different doctors, a ENT doctor and my regular doctor. The ENT is having me to go a John Hopkins for a second opinion in 2 days and i need to go see a therapist i just cant afford it right now.

Check your personal messages in about an hour. I am going to eat dinner now, but will write you a book after that. I am diagnosed with Meniere's disease.

Bad news. I just typed up a very long private message to you and it wouldn't send. I promise to try again tomorrow. Next time, I'll type it in Word and copy/paste so that I won't lose it. Here is my qick summary: Do not let Meniere's disease control your life. I have went to WDW multiple times since my diagnosis and done fine. I had no problem finding things to eat. Until tomorrow...I hope you have a vertigo free night and tomorrow!

It just stinks because all the test say its not that but i am going to John Hopkins (which is suppose to be a great hospital) Friday for a second look and see what another doctor thinks, if they dont find anything i dont know what else to do. I have pain in my ear and pressure on and off im on some special medicine that only 3 places in my state are able to carry because of how its made, not quite sure its working or not just scared its gonna get worse and no one knows what to do :( ive been having issues since June with my ear.

I look forward to your message

dh also has meneres disease. He has medication that he takes for then he feels it coming on. Although it makes him tired. He has never had a problem with it anytime we have been at disney. Although when we traveled from Alaska to Va he has a bad one in Indiania when we stopped to see my brother. The dr told him it was most likely the stress of the trip.
