For us for where there when it all started, yes the generation that saw the birth of MTV, Addicted to Love and Simply Irresistible are no doubt two of the classic video's I think of when chatting about what MTV was all about--from watching Thriller for the first time, seeing Video killed the radio star, to early Madonna, these Plamer videos are quinessential 80's MTV, classics to the end

it is so wierd to see our generations icons pass on--I know it happens to every generation, but since so many more vehicles for information are out there, it just seems so much more--from Princess Diana, to Kennedy, to John Ritter and Robert Palmer---just very odd that we are the age of these people
