We are staying at the Contemporary and will be going to Sea World one day. I understand that there are buses that leave the TTC to Sea World leaving about every half hour all day long for $1.25. Sounds like a good deal! Does anyone have an experience taking the bus to Sea World? How long does it take?

Thanks!

It's about a 20 minute ride. Check with www.GoLynx.com for schedules. It's the #50 bus. Off the top of my head, I think it's :18 and :48 past the hour, but I could be mistaken.

We used it and it was fine except for one little mistake we made. Just be VERY SURE to cross the two-way street and pick up the bus on the OTHER SIDE of the street when you go to return home. To ensure you are picking the bus up at the right place, maybe ask your bus driver where the bus picks up. We walked through the Sea World parking lot on a very hot, horrible day and waited for the bus for a half hour only to find that the bus that came by was NOT the right bus... but that the RIGHT BUS was picking up people just across the crosswalk, across the street on the other corner. So we had to wait another half hour for the next bus to come by. Learn from our mistake and it will be a breeze!

It really is a breeze. Just be sure to tell your driver when you board at TTC that you want to go to SeaWorld. We forgot, as did someone else and we all got dropped off past SeaWorld. It took us about 15 minutes to get back to the parking lot!!!

To return...just cross the street. It's not too busy a street. If I remember the Renassaince Hotel driveway is right next to the stop. There should be a sign with Lynx paw prints on it.

Thanks for the info -- we will definitely take the bus! I checked the schedule and it leaves the TTC at 18 & 48 after the hour and returns from Sea World at 09 and 39 after the hour all day long.

No kidding! I had no idea this was an option! I was checking into car rentals for the day and it was looking like a $50 - $60 for a car.

What a wonderful option! Is it really as easy as it sounds?

Do you make any stop in between the ttc and seaworld?

The website says you need exact fair for the ride. Is it all in change or can you give a single and two quarters? Sorry for the lame question!

Any other tips?

Thanks! :earboy2:

From the route map on the lynx website, it looks like SeaWorld is the next stop after TTC and its about a 20 minute trip. I don't know what the correct change denomination is -- I would think they would take a dollar and a quarter. It seems easy from what everyone has said. The only unknown to me is where to get the Lynx bus after we get to the TTC. I hope its easy to locate! The bus number is #50.

Sea World is approximately the next stop. The bus route is basically I-4 from Disney (TTC) to the Sea World exit; there may be one or two Lynx bus markers after you exit I-4 but before you turn to pass in front of Sea World itself, but the correct stop will be pretty obvious.

At the TTC, the Lynx stop is located (as I recall) at the far end of the platform. Exiting the monorail or ferryboat, head out of the TTC towards Mk parking and bear left around the gift shop located at the corner. You will then walk straight to TTC bus parking. Stops are marked; the few Disney buses which still service the TTC are nearest. Again, the Lynx stop is to your left at the far end (but its actually very close). More than one Lynx route calls at the TTC stop, so be sure you get on the correct bus (the second will take you out U.S. 192 to Osceola Square Mall).

Fare is $1.25. They do accept dollar bills, however, the preferred method is five quarters. You can of course use nickels, and dimes as well.

What's the quickest way to get from POP to TTC? Thanks!

Just to add the farebox's cannot accept $5.00 bills.
