Lyft or Uber from the CCI

Is this even a possibility? Would a driver even accept a ride that short?
We may stay here in August but the shuttle doesn't run as early as I want to leave for our EMH. Trying to save the majority of walking for INSIDE DL/DCA, I know it's close.

Well, CCI won't get you EMH at DCA. That perk is only available for on site guests. For MM at DL, I don't know if Uber or Lyft will take a ride that short, but it will be longer than it looks because the driver will have to go south on Harbor to Katella, make a U-turn, then make another U-turn at Ball in order to drop you off at the Harbor drop off. You'd still have to walk from the drop off zone to bag check, then to the gates. I think the ride might save you about 8-10 minutes max easy walking?

I'm not an expert, but we've stayed at CCI and we've stayed at other hotels father down Harbor where we've needed to use Uber/Lyft. The drop-off area for Taxi/Uber/Lyft is less than 2 blocks from the CCI. It would take you 15-20 minutes more to use an Uber and save you maybe 5 minutes of walking at best? If you are trying to get to the parks early I would absolutely take the easy walk in the morning so you don't waste time waiting on a driver who is stuck at the numerous Harbor Blvd lights and turnarounds. It's a really easy walk and then you won't be at the mercy of traffic or someone else's schedule. CCI is great!

I would guess that you can request a ride (Lyft gives an estimate of between $6 and $8), but it isn't going to save you much steps. I don't know where the driver will actually drop you off in the Drop Off Area, but going that route will save you about 1,600 feet (or about 5.5 football fields) according to Google Maps. It's going to take more time because you'll have to wait for the ride and then take the non-direct route the others have mentioned. (For me, I'd rather get the extra 5 to 10 minutes of sleep that early in the morning! )

We are just used to the proximity of the Best Western Park Place. Just trying to figure it all out...
We got such a good deal on the CCI, so...just trying to navigate it all...

Uber to the Harbor Blvd dropoff point will really be kinda pointless.

...now if you are gonna Uber, Uber to the DTD dropoff point so you avoid the harbor side security which can be backed up...but that would actually be a LONGER walk to the gates.
