I'm sorry it's taken me SOOOOO long to get started, but I'm starting RIGHT NOW!!!! So, without further ado...The Trip Report!
May 16th, 2007
Very early in the morning My DF (at the time), His Best Man (Mike), His Son (my now Step-Son, Kyle) and myself wake up to travel to the Airport. My MIL joins us at the house and we all head out to the Airport, but with us running late, as usual!!!! We are supposed to be at the airport 2 hours early, but we seem to be only about 1 hour early...well, I'm not sure you can use the word early when they tell us we just made the cut off time for checking in for our flight!!! Opps!!! Not to worry, They're happy we're getting married and tell us to calm down and we'll all get on with all of our bags! Yay!!! We get to arrive on time then!
Ok, so it takes a little while to get all the bags checked, Most of us are staying for 9 days!!! And, not to forget, we have LOTS of stuff to take for the wedding!!! { By the way, I want to take this moment to thank Princessdisneybelle, she helped me with SOOO much of the stuff I just didn't have time (or energy) to get done!!! So, Thank You, Princessdisneybelle!!! } Well, when we get it all done, we head towards the gate and go through security...oh yeah, I dislocated my Left Knee 2 weeks prior to the wedding, so I have a cane and a brace on my knee...I have to go through a pat down! Well, once we all make it through security, we take a seat at our gate. We're only there for a few min. before they start seating for our flight...by the way, the Best Man is afraid of flying and is starting to get really nervous. So, we get on the plane and my DF, Kyle, and my MIL are all sitting together!!! My seat is across the row and the Best Man is stuck behind them!!! Well, he's not looking so well as the plane starts to fill. Ok, so we're not too full, and I told Mike to come sit with me. He's shaking soooo bad, and sweating! Ok, time to calm him down or we won't have a Best man!!! I hold his hand and tell him to take a few deep breaths. I start talking to him and get him to respond. All the while we start pulling off and head out to the run way...I keep him breathing and talking and before you know it, we've taken off...I inform him we are off the ground and make him look out the window and low and behold, he's ok!!! He looks at me and asks, "Is that it?" And I respond, "Yep!! That's it! See, the worst part was just your fear, not the actual flying!!" He was so happy I was right! He was fine the rest of the trip and that made me very happy!!!
Ok, so we land in Orlando and it's time to get EVERYONE going in the same direction and get us checked in with the Magical Express. When we finally get down to the check-in desk, we get to go directly to the counter, so where did everyone go??? That's ok, I'll take care of it myself and I'll get everyone checked in, no big deal! Well, it helps if I have there stuff. So, I get DF to go gather the info. so I can check them in. Ok, so, that's done and we asked if we're having a reunion or something and we tell them that we're getting married!!! They all oooh and aaah!!! And we're able to get in line for the bus...oh we get to get on the bus as we walk to the front of the line, but where is MIL??? She's taking a Cig. break. So, DF runs to get her and runs through the line to join us. Ok, so we all make it on the bus and we head out to POR!!! Wow, this bus ride is much longer than the one we had last year going to Carribean Beach, and I'm getting REALLY tired! Well, we finally arrive at the Resort and we get in line to check-in to the Resort. We get up to the window and give our info. She tells us that more of our party has already checked-in and she even helped some of them!! Yay! Oh and wait right there, We have something waiting for us!!! We're handed two large envelopes. Inside we have two magic moments certificates! She hands us our pins to wear after the wedding. She also tells us that our entire party that booked rooms in that Resort are all in the same building and on the same floor!!! (This makes getting ready for the wedding MUCH easier!) Yay! Everyone's together! (Except for the only people that stayed at the Allstar Music Resort, b/c they said they liked music, not to save money, they later wished they had stayed in our resort like everyone else, but we'll get to that later!!!)
I call my mom to find out where she is and she says she's headed over to Franks to drop off the decoration stuff for the ceremony the next day. Ok, so we need to use her car when she returns to get our marriage license. So, we decide that we need to eat something, it's been quite a few hours since breakfast! That none of us really ate. So, I sit at an outside table to save for us all and the rest of them go to put down our carry-on items in my MIL's room since she is the only one who's room is ready. Well, they return and we take turns going inside to grab our lunch, yay for Disney Dining Plan! No money spent, and yet we have LOTs of food! Well, my mom calls as we finish eating telling us she's back and we can go. I let Dennis (my DF) finish eating while I go the concerige desk to get directions to the Clerk of Courts. By the way, print them out before you leave, they don't have a clue how to get you there and they have no idea how to work Map Quest!!! Anyway, we at least get a phone number so that when the directions don't make sense later, we were able to call and get REAL directions!
Well, I go and gather Dennis and we leave Kyle with MIL and Mike. We head to my mom's room to get the keys. A quick kiss and hug (haven't seen her in a while) and we're out the door.
Well...it's late and I'll have to tell you about our trip to the Clerk of Courts in my continue tomorrow. Also, this was one REALLY LONG DAY!!!!

(or should I say, roll together since I was in a chair?) Anyway, we went back to our building and Dennis went to his best man's room and I went to our room. So, alone in a big bed all by myself...But tomorrow will be different! Tomorrow, I'll be married! I never could have imagined how the next day would be, but I can tell you, it wasn't what I would have ever thought! Well, until then!
