Part 1.
The alarm was set for 7:00am. Carolyn Allen's was coming at 7:30, so I at least wanted a minute to make a cup of tea, brush my teeth and hair, and put on some clothes.
5:00am, I wake up

Not just like, ooooh I heard a sound...... like WIDE AWAKE
I debated on what to do. It was so early. I tried to wake him up to see what I should do, lol--but that was dumb--he was passed out. I decided to organize. I got my makeup stuff together, set everything out, got my envelopes set, packed my purse. Boredom. I decided to get a shower. I took the longest shower in history, going over all the things that I couldn't forget. I plucked my eyebrows, dried my hair, did my skin care, had a cup of tea. It was like 6:45. So I wake him up--tell him I'm going to the lounge to eat because I'm starving and to let Carolyn Allen's in at 7:30 if I'm not back. Copy.
It was nice to take a little walk by myself that morning. The walk from the garden wing to the main building wasn't bad--just enough for the cold air to hit you and wake you up. I got up to the lounge and was greeted by a couple CMs that were happy to see me and wanted to hear all about what our day held. I was starving. I had a little bit of everything, but I ate realllllly slow. DH texted me when CA's got there, but I was just hanging out in the lounge. I was trying to just relax. I knew that when I went back into that room it was going to be madness for the rest of the day and I was trying to savor the last few minutes of quiet. The CM's gave me a tray to take back drinks, fruit and pastries to the room--super nice!!
I get back to the room and I meet the husband and wife who were there to steam from Carolyn Allen's. They were working on his suit and just getting my dress out. DH said he didn't want to see it

confused3) so they kept it on the other side--luckily we had the deluxe room. Meanwhile, I reminded DH that he's been putting off letting me pluck his eyebrows and it HAD to happen. He acted like I was slicing off his arm. The people from CA were laughing and we were all having a good time. When they were done, I tipped them and they gave me info on preserving and donating. As I saw them out the door, our MouseKeeper, Consuelo, was outside and I asked her if we could just exchange towels, etc since the day would be soooo busy. She brought us tons of toiletries in, towels, took the dirty ones, and some of the garbage and she thanked me (one less big room to clean!).
It was 8:30. I had no plans of even showering until 9:00am--but even that was done. It was early to start makeup--really early. I figured I could do layer 1 of foundation and let it sit for a bit. So I did a layer of Diorskin Nude, and sat back with a cup of tea and watched some TV. About 9, I just decided to jump into my makeup. Hair was coming at 10, and I knew it wouldn't take me an hour, but in case a disaster happens, I needed recovery time. My nerves officially set in. I do makeup for a living, and have done so for a long time. I do weddings, proms, photo shoots, regular people

, old, young, and most importantly--my own--everyday! Why was I shaking? Why couldn't I decide which brush to pick up? Finally, I just did it, I shook up that can of Airflash, sprayed it on my flat brush and just put it on. I got on a roll and was done before I knew it. I started to do the individual lashes, but I was shaking so bad that I didn't think I could do them the whole way without causing a mess. Maybe it was caffeine overload? I did have strip lashes with me, but I really didn't want to use them as I like the individuals better. It had to be done. I put the strips on, fixed up the eyeliner, put mascara on....... and Voila! I did it. Sigh of relief. What I did drop the ball on was lipstick. After I tanned, the lipstick that I had packed a long time ago was way too light. I wish I had more color. So makeup was done and set with Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray.
I cleaned up a little of the mess I made, and packed what I needed for touchups in my purse. I told DH he needed to get in the shower, so he did. About the time he needed to get out... the hair lady from Niki Bryan showed up

Again--luckily we had the deluxe room and it all worked out that no one saw anything they weren't supposed to see
She was really nice. I can't remember her name for the life of me. She asked if I had another company come in for the makeup and I told her that I did it. I was flattered, but kind of re-assured that I wasn't a mess. You know how some people walk out of their house thinking they look like hot stuff--and they are more like a hot mess? I wanted to make sure that wasn't me! We talked about the products I used as she was straightening. She had a kiwi hairspray that smelled amazing!! We were done in no time. We didn't pin down my headband because it stayed really well. The Niki Bryan manager had sent me an invoice a few weeks prior that included tip, so I knew what to expect. They don't have a deposit. I was given the option of cash, charge to room, check, or credit card. Lots of options! My envelopes had cash. She was really sweet and great to work with--more people should use them!!
When she left, DH was griping that I made him shave that day and that he was getting shaving bumps even though he clarisonic'd.

That's why I brought hydrocortisone my love! He got ready and went to the lounge to prepare for the "first look". They offered to make him a cocktail or to get him anything he needed!!
It was about 10 minutes till 11. Jason should arrive at 11. Those 10 minutes seemed like 4 hours. I had my dress out for pictures, my understuff was on and ready. At 11, I guess since the other 2 vendors were right on the minute, I expected that knock at the door, lol. Every minute seemed like an eternity, and my anxiety was nuts. Finally at 5 minutes after, I decided I needed to get dressed. It took me 10 minutes of trying to get that little latch on my dress to secure, then a second to zip it up. (thank god after all that food/wine and room service!!) Jason arrives!
I'm dressed and ready, he takes a few shots of the in-room celebration stuff and we're on our way to the lounge!
I'm going to take a little break here
I need another cup of tea and want to buy a pin or two for DH for Xmas, but couldn't since he was watching me on my laptop allllllllll day yesterday. I was on the DisneyStore.com and he's over my shoulder. He wants the BuzzLightyear hoodie--but it's $60 and I'm waiting till we get a 40% sale closer later in December!!
Part 2 coming up!!
