It's a shame you aren't doing it near the end of November. We may be going down sometime at the end of November this year for e-pics. I'm super excited for Christmas themed Disney! Never been down there for holidays. My parents and other siblings have, but I haven't because of my retail gig for a while. Anywho, I think it's a great idea to do what you want, either it be for financial or stressless reasons. And it's always great to get the party started sooner, right?!

That'll be fun--I love Christmas Disney!! I'm sooo ready to get this party started!!

As far as dresses go, the only one that really speaks to me as a WEDDING dress is the first one by Camille. It's gorgeous. And if I remember correctly somewhat similar to one you've tried on?

Lol--I have shoes, but wish I got them in a 9 instead of an 8 1/2, but we'll see. The #1 dress is a mix between the dress I was going to order, and the dress I thought I was going to order, lol. I love it!!

Okay--So I'm still waiting on a call. I'm not going to lunch today (worked thru yesterday too) and leaving at 3. I'm going up to the bridal salon that I have a credit with to see if they have anything. I also am in contact with a lady who's opening a new plus size bridal salon at then end of the month, and she said I could buy anything off the rack from her--they're all brand new. So I have options--just waiting for my stock money which I should have by the middle of next week. The market blows anyway, so I either lose it to this or lose it after everything tanks again--this is better.

So because I am a chronic mind changer, resort changer, wedding changer.... I tried to logically think my resort choice through. We planned on Beach Club, I'll want getting ready pix, then we have to include travel time which means I'm losing picture time, etc. So I dropped off club level and booked the GRAND FLORIDIAN!! A garden view was like $350 less than BC-CL. It will make life so much easier to be there for pix, close to the ceremony site, the monorail, my dream resort. I'll also be closer to some of my lovelies getting married that weekend I couldn't be happier!! (unless a discount code came out ) Now I won't need the limo and can get the "In Room Celebration" --Sweet!!

I'm still waiting on a call, but am holding faith it'll be okay--so I finalized our ADRs to be more wedding appropriate, lol:

Nov 9: Lunch G-Flo Cafe, Afternoon Tea, Dinner at Flying Fish
Nov 10: Ohana Breakfast after Wedding (I WILL SEE THE MOUSE!), Citricos Dinner
Nov 11: Lunch Via Napoli, Dinner Narcoossee's during MVMCP Fireworks
Nov 12: Breakfast 1900 Park Fare, Dinner Ohana
Nov 13: Lunch Nine Dragons, Dinner Yachtsman Steakhouse
Nov 14: Lunch Coral Reef, Dinner Rose and Crown
Nov 15: Breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table

When my check comes, I need to distribute it wisely and appropriately. I would say the priorities would be:

*DFTW Deposit
*Wedding Bands on Layaway - 50% down
*Dress
*Photographer Paid in Full
*Flight
*Resort Payment

Agreed?

Kathleen just called - she's wonderful! We went over availability, and my first choice of Nov 10 - 9am wasn't available, but Nov 9th was, but then we'd have to change our travel plans. I'm sad I'll lose Ohana, which I thought was a genious plan, but we discussed how there will be less resort traffic at 1pm, than at 9am with the breakfast crowd. She's sending all my info to me now!!

I asked if I could upgrade a bouquet, but that was a no, incase someone wants to know in the future. That's okay... I'll rock something different If I have Jason, a Disney photographer is forfeited. That's okay because you only get 3 pictures from them anyway.

It's all coming together nicely!! Sorry to keep everyone waiting!!

Danielle... what days are you staying?? I hope we're close!!

I have so much work to do!! So many people to contact!! OMG OMG OMG!!! I need an assistant, and I can only pay you in Dior, lol. Who's with me?

Whew. Girl. I just read your PJ. It's like a movie! I'm sucked into your life now and must have more soon (I must admit though, at first I was so confused that your planning was for over a year away, but your dates said 11/10/11. Now that I'm at the end, it all makes sense.)
First off, my sincerest apologies to you for the bs you have to deal with from your family. Your wedding is something that should be one of the happiest, most exciting times in your life. Shame on them for trying to ruin that. With that said, kudos to you for changing your date and taking control of your big day. (And that means you'll be the day before mine now. I'm 11/11/11!) But you're now in the same boat as me- planning your wedding in 4 months! Fun and coronary inducing at the same time!

Eeek! I had something else to tell you based on some things you had mentioned, but my DF just got home and totally distracted me. Now I have to go back and figure out what the heck it was LOL.

Okay, so yesterday went okay. I left work at 3pm, went to my bridal salon--and nothing was speaking to me. Well nothing under $1000 was speaking to me, lol. I was sad because I had a $100 credit and I was going to lose it. They graciously let me use it on a bridesmaid dress that I can wear to a dinner! So I go this baby for only $50 more (in black)!

So I went across the street--nothing.

I'm not a big fan of the David's here, but I thought eh, I'll look. It was crazy in there for a Tuesday night. I tried a few that were okay, not great quality, but okay. I picked them out in the size I was at the other store, and everything was huge on me. So we went back and got me the right sizes and I think the one dress is perfect for what we're going. I liked a lot of dresses in the 3 stores that day... but for the wedding I WAS having, NOT the wedding I AM having. Of course, I only got one bad pic... so consider it a preview, lol:

I'm ordering it next week, and the internet says it's available without a train, so I'm going to ask about that. I don't think I want a train in the sand.

I like it, I've had it on, and although I love the one I found online, I feel better knowing I tried this on in the true size and I like it. It also will compliment the flower choices better.

Not sure what to do about shoes--I'm at a loss--I'm nervous with platforms in the sand. I'm equally nervous about being a foot shorter than Dave.
