Carrie went into great detail about how to order a cake for your anniversary...there was also a post she wrote about dessert partys that went up around the same time.
But I was looking for the cake one specifically....
The thread so helpfully posted above includes info on how we ordered our anniversary cake through the Grand Floridian for a private event.
I wonder if you were thinking of this post I made on the Cake Chatter Thread which describes where you can go to pick up a cake at WDW and includes the order form for BoardWalk Bakery:
hmmm...so can I order the cake through the GF thingy even if the private event is basically me and DH and a couple of peeps hanging out in our room?
I noticed that the BoardWalk Bakery flavors doesn't list the Peanut Butter mousse
If we can't order it through the GF thingy, do you think I could call BW Bakery and explain to them what I want (since the wedding cake came from them anyway?) and maybe they'd be helpful?
Yes - it doesn't matter how many people you have, you can order a cake from GF Bakery. However you do have to be staying or dining at the GF.
I'd call BoardWalk Bakery and talk to a pastry chef to see what they can do.
Also, you'll find *tons* of info about ordering cakes in the Cake Chatter Thread I linked to above. You don't have to read the whole thing, just the most recent 5 or 10 pages - honest!
