We usually eat our sit down at dinner so most of these are counter service. For the most part, I was very pleased with the counter service. My family includes me, DH, DS 5, and DD 2.

Beaches and Cream I got the idea from this board to go here on our MGM day. It was a great idea. We had a very pleasant boat ride, and it wasn't too hard to find once we looked at a map! We got there at 11:45 and there was one booth left, three tables, and all the bar stools open. Both my DH and I got cheeseburgers. One of us got onion rings and the other got fruit. The burgers were the best of the week. They were a little greasy (probably why they were so tasty) and the bun was very fresh. The fruit was also fresh. The onion rings were good but nothing special. My kids both had hot dogs. My son ate the whole thing. Unfortunately, my DD ate one bite and dropped it on the floor!! Of course, the best part was dessert!! We split a No Way Jose. It was one of the best sundaes I have ever had. There was vanilla and choc. ice cream, peanut butter and fudge sauce, and some whip cream. The sauce was plentiful. When we were finished, we put my DD leftover vanilla in and ate some more with plenty of sauce! (Hey, we are on vacation, and I am 15 weeks pregnant!) We'll definitely go back here!

England's fish and chips - I never can remember the name of this counter service. Anyway, we had the fish and chips meal. It was very good and perfect for a light lunch. Nothing was too greasy, and we really enjoyed eating here.

Cosmic Rays - My DH and I had cheeseburgers again. He ordered while I got a table and got one order with fries and one with carrots. Now normally, this is what I would want, but when he got to the table I said, "But there is cheese sauce for the fries on the fixings bar!" Needless to say, he did not make the same mistake later in the week at Pecos Bill! The cheeseburgers were good and the fixing bar is very nice. My kids had corn dog nuggets and ate them all.

Pecos Bill - I'll do this one next since it is so similar to Cosmic Rays and in the same park (MK). My DH again had a cheeseburger. He thought Pecos Bill might be a little better, but he wouldn't cross the park for it if he were hungry by Cosmic Rays. I had the chicken salad wrap - not sure of the exact name, my DH was again the orderer. At first I thought I was going to have to get some mayo for it, but once I found the dressing it was very good and a nice change from cheeseburgers. Again the fixing bars is a nice addition.

Port Orleans food court - I had the chicken taco salad. I did not like it. I think it was the black bean mixture (and I do like black beans) that I did not like. My DH had a chicken quesadilla. It was better, but nothing fantastic. Our kids had macaroni and cheese which they ate. Before heading to the airport I got a vanilla milk shake, and it was very good.

Tusker House - This was a very good lunch. My DH had the rotisserie chicken lunch. It was the best choice - very juicy chicken served with mashed potatoes and green beans. I got the fried chicken sandwich. It was good but not outstanding. My kids both had macaroni and cheese. It was very good. Next time I will get the salad here. It looked great. We did purchase the vouchers here. This enabled us to later get an ice cream treat or popcorn and waters. We all got Mickey bars which are delicious! They use a dark chocolate with a good ice cream. Last year we ate at Flame Tree Barbeque and also enjoyed it!!

Thanks for the reviews!
We too were pleasantly surprised with B&C once we finally found it. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to write such great reviews. We love Beaches and Cream. The burgers are the best at WDW and the "No Way Jose" is a meal in itself. :earseek:

Okay, I always thought, Beaches and Cream, sounds good but so what. Something about your review had me wanting a cheeseburger and on our next visit I will try to fit it in.

Thanks for the detailed counter service review!

And congratulations on your latest state of maternity!

Thanks for the great reviews. We're looking at Tusker House for lunch on our next visit - sounds like a good choice!

Enjoyed your reviews. Thanks!

I'm considering Beaches & Cream for onion rings and ice cream (maybe burgers). I have a question about the No Way Jose. Is the peanut butter topping a sweet or not-so-sweet topping? What I'm getting at is whether the peanut butter topping is sweet like a Reece Cup or less-sweet like the peanut butter in Baskin-Robbins Chocolate & Peanut Butter ice cream.

Thanks for your reviews. You gave us some new places to try for lunch on our upcoming trip. ::MinnieMo

Thanks for the reviews! I especially liked your No Way Jose photos. It's my FAVORITE WDW indulgence!! We go to Beaches & Cream at least twice when we're at WDW (only 57 more days until I can taste one again!).

Also, I wanted to say "hi" from a fellow Hoosier. I'm from Lafayette. Beautiful weather today, huh?!

The peanut butter sauce is not sickening sweet. Its perfect, and its mixed throughout the sundae. Oh my, I'm hungry! :)

Thanks for your reply. Sounds yummy! :)

Beaches and Cream is probley our favorite non character meal. We love the location, and the the amount of food that you get is great. Also, we always use Q & C vouchers so we save a lot of money.

I will be in INDY on Sunday for my 20th 500. I was born and raised in Bloomington, and went to college at Indiana State.

I miss Indiana, however in SC I am only 6.5 hours from WDW, so we are able to go more.

Charleston Zurg - I should have looked into the vouchers as I knew I wanted to eat at Beaches and Cream. Next trip I will!

Have fun at the race! So far, just a small chance of rain. We're going to the parade but not the race. I grew up about 10 minutes north of Martinsville (in the hills:D ) and both of my parents are IU grads so I spent a lot of time in Bloomington. We still go to a lot of the IU games even though I am a Butler grad and my DH is a Ball State grad.

dznyacct - I've been in Cincy visiting a friend so I missed the beautiful weather!;)
