We are on the dining plan but could only get into Le Cellier for lunch. It is the same meal service credits for lunch and dinner so I am wondering if the portions are much smaller? Usually lunch are.. Also, does anyone know if you can get a dinner size portion at lunch?
Thanks!

The portions are smaller. However, I think they are adequate. No, you cannot get dinner sized portions at lunch.

PP is correct lunch portions are smaller. And no they won't let you get the dinner portion at lunch.

If you have your heart set on dinner, keep checking the reservations. People cancel all the time. Also you can check the "month" cancelation threads here on the forum. That can be of help too.

Good luck.

I've eaten at many restaurants at WDW including Le Cel for both lunch and dinner and the portions are the same. Same price, same size. There are a few exceptions, mostly in non-Disney owned places. The filet at Le Cel is about 7 oz at lunch or dinner. It's an old wife's tale that places have smaller portions at lunch for a lower price. A few do, but having worked in food service for 35 years, I can tell you it's the exception, not the rule, and you'll see it shown on the menu.

In September 2009, our waitress said that the lunch portion of the Filet Mignon was about 5 oz, while the dinner portion was about 8 oz.
