I'm looking for a recommendation for a nice lunch on our last day (a Friday) in the Disney Resort before we brave the traffic to LAX for our red-eye flight back to Boston. We don't have theme park tickets for this day.

Earl of sandwich. It is very good and not very expensive. It is in downtown Disney.

Have you checked out what is available in Downtown Disney? The lunch menu at Catal looks pretty good, but not as good as dinner! Plus the atmosphere is nicer than Harbor Blvd. And you can get that last minute shopping done at World of Disney and Marceline's Confectionery!

There are a few more large restaurants there with nice outdoor seating , perfect for soaking up the final rays of California sun before you head home.

Ralph Brennan's has been tempting me lately and it has a big unique menu.

Have fun planning!

I was going to say Earl of Sandwich. I am bummed that they no longer send free Birthday Sandwich coupons (they send free brownie coupon instead) when you sign up for their email club.

Earl of Sandwich is on my list, but for earlier in the week. I have always wanted to check it out in Disney World, but never timed it right.

That is one of the best parts about the DLR everything is walking distance. No having to take the bus to different parks or DTD.

I have a question, we have a red eye at 9:50pm, what time are you heading to LAX? I am just trying to plan our shuttle. I am not sure how far you want to venture, but the Anaheim garden walk has a few restaurants. My kids like Bubba Gump

How about Trader Sams Enchanted Tiki Bar? Or ESPN Zone or Rainforest Cafe. I would go with Trader Sams, it is a fun and unique experience. Plus... floor shows, well of sorts. It all depends upon what drink one orders. Just whatever you do, don't lose your heads over anything. After all Trader Sam is a known headhunter. But rest assured, he often is out of town, way out man...... ;)

Downtown Disney is great, also can venture into any of the Hotels and their cafes.
In case you wanted to checkout any of the hotels, a meal is a great way to do so.

@PRomano I don't know what time to leave!!! That's on my list of things to look into this weekend. I would rather give myself plenty of extra time and eat dinner at the airport, then be stuck in traffic wondering if I'll make it.

I agree with that. I think the shuttle will give a time, I figure they do it all the time and know how long it takes!

I am a fan of Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, so I would definitely recommend it. I keep hearing these rave reviews for Tortilla Joe's lately though, so if I had a hankering for Mexican food, I might be tempted to try that place finally.

I'll agree with Earl of Sandwich. Excellent. And before you order, head over to Ralph Brennan's Express and pick up some beignets for desserts.

And if you really want to over do it, head over to Goofy's Kitchen for Brunch and stuff yourself sick while hamming it up with Chip and Dale.
