Where would you recommend having a sit down, take a breather lunch in these two parks (Magic Kingdom and MGM). Family of 5, kids ages 6, 11, 13. Not counter service but a place to sit and enjoy lunch and a break off our feet. Need to made ADR's this friday.

Thanks!!

In MK, I would choose Crystal Palace for lunch. Its a very pretty restaurant with a lunch buffet, featuring Pooh and friends. Kids old and young love it. Of course, it wouldn't totally solve the fetting off your feet part. If you are just looking to get out of the sun for counter service, Cosmic Ray's has good, fresh food that you can eat indoors. They have a good variety, from burgers to chicken to ribs, and is less expensive than table service dining. There are other sit down, non character dining locations, but I have not personally tried them. I have not found a place that I like in MGM. We used to frequent H&V, back when they had characters. Can't vouch for it now. Whenever we go to MGM, we usually plan to take the boat to Beaches & Cream. We go for an early lunch or early dinner to avoid the crowds.

I would suggest the 50s Prime Time for lunch at MGM. It is a lot of fun for kids and nostagic. The food is just like "Mom" used to make and quite good. As for MK the CRT is probably about the quietest restaurant in the park, however, it is a bit pricey. Tony's on Main Street is also relatively quiet. I have never eaten at Columbia Harbour House but it always looked interesting.

Highly recommend 50's Prime Time Cafe - your kids would love Mom and Dad getting yelled at :rotfl2: You could also try Sci Fi but a family of 5 couldn't really sit in a car unless one sat alone, you could sit at a table though.

MK is tough - most sit downs are character meals. Tony's isn't though but I haven't heard much on that place lately. I guess CP but only if you all like Pooh.

I would recommend the Plaza Restaurant at MK. Nice sandwiches and great sundaes and milkshakes. Very laid back relaxing atmosphere. I think a hidden jewel. At MGM, Mama Melrose's is nice as well as 50"s Prime Time and SCI-FI Drive IN

In MK, we had a very nice, quiet lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. Plaza Restaurant is also a good choice.

In MGM, we always have a nice lunch break at Sci Fi.

I think with their ages SciFi would blow them away. My boys loved it. In MK I personally love CP but I am also a big eyeore fan. Not sure there was an over the top restaurant for my boys.

Another vote for LTT in MK. They have a fantastic lunch menu. Really fresh food and very relaxing restaurant. MGM ? - We usually do Sci-Fi, but it isn't really that relaxing. This year we are skipping Sci-Fi and doing Pizza Planet. We have been there before and the kids are begging to go again so that is the plan.

I usually go to the Plaza for lunch when at the MK and , as stated before, the 50's PrimeTime diner is a fun envoirnment and great food and (usually) the servers are interactive by making sure you eat your greens and scolding you for wearing your hat inside or having your elbows on the table! ALL big no-no's!! lol

Have fun no matter what you do! :cool1:
