I have one open ADR slot that needs filling! We've never been to Liberty Tree Tavery or Chefs de France, so I thought we might try one for lunch. Its just DH and I. Which would you choose?

Neither one is less/more convenient than the other since we will either have a late lunch in the MK that day, or a late lunch on our way through Epcot heading back to the Boardwalk through the International Gateway.

Chefs de France...hands down.

But that opinion comes from a self-professed foodie, from a family of foodies. It is on par with our cafe experiences in Paris...really. Eventhough we try to eat at new places every trip, we always end up making a stop here.

You just hit two of my favorite restaurants! We keep returning to those exact two! We did Chefs the last trip and we're actually doing Liberty this week!

The only way we make the decision is by plotting out where we're more likely to be when we get hungry on a particular day... so I really can't decide otherwise! I'm glad they're not in the same park! LOL

I say look at the menus and see which one appeals to you more. At LTT, we highly recommend tavern fried cheese, pot roast, turkey dinner, and ooey gooey toffee cake. Though I just saw lamb stew was added to the menu, so now I feel like I have to try that too! If you do Chefs, they have a prix fixe meal we enjoy because we love the french onion soup, macaroni gratin or ham & cheese sandwich (like none you've ever had before), and chocolate mousse cake or profiteroles.

Happy planning! :wizard:

I'd choose LTT because I'd be taking the bus back to my resort from MK. I wouldn't recommend taking the monorail and then walking through Epcot to get to BWI. I don't think you realize just how long that'll take or just how far of a walk it is from the monorail to the IG. Despite the bus frequency and service to the Crescent Lake resorts, it still generally takes less time to take the bus.

Thanks for the input. Right now, it's looking like CDF, but honestly I think we may be able to fit both in...just depends on how many times I tweak my itinerary.

I do realize it's a long walk, having stayed at the Boardwalk and done the monorail and walked out through the IG before, but the sole purpose of taking it to Future World wouldn't be just to ride the monorail---we plan on hitting a few FW attractions that we didn't hit yet that afternoon (SSE, Living with the Land...basically all of our second-tier rides). The menu at CDF appeals to me more, but LTT is something I walk by each trip and think we should try it. Decisions decisions!

While we have never been to Chefs de France, we have gone to LTT several times for lunch and it has always been very, very good. The portions are very good sized and the service is good. One of our favorites for lunch.

I agree with the pp who said Chefs de France hands down. Just excellent French food, love it!

We loved both! The sandwich I had at CDF was my favorite meal of the entire trip. However, the ooey gooey tofee thingy at LTT was my favorite dessert of the entire trip! I don't think you can go wrong with either!!

LTT! Prefer the overall menu. And that way if you decide you want to do a few more things in MK you're still there, and then can wander over to Epcot at your leisure. If you make the ADR in Epcot you have a drop-dead time when you have to leave MK no matter what else you might be thinking about doing.

Chefs, hands down, no question. Why would you spend money to eat at LTT, when you can have exactly the same food at home any day of the week? Go for the adventure; eat at the French restaurant.

Everyone has opinions!! as my 7 year old reminds me when I want him to eat something he says he does not like!

Check the menus. I do know that UG ratings of LTT are higher than CDF. We always eat lunch at LTT one day we are at MK - love the decalration salad and pot roast meals (which is weird during a day of walking), as well as oooey gooey toffee cake :thumbsup2 for dessert. Never heard a bad thing about LTT food, but have about CDF - that said, a place is only good if the choices appeal to you :cutie:

We are hitting CDF for dinner this trip for the first time and looking forward :woohoo: to it as well - it is SO pretty looking to me! Bistro was fine but not worth the money last year, hoping Chefs is a better value.

A waitress once said to me "order something that you wouldn't make for yourself at home"

That being said, I would definately go for Les Chefs...because it's different and the food is really good!

Bon Appetit! :thumbsup2

Chef's lunch menu is so good and if you want something different rather than typical American. The french onion soup, goat cheese salad, the macaroni au gratin, the creme brulee, it's all so good. If you want typical American then LTT's lunch is very good as well. , Cheeeburgers, roast beef sandwich with horseradish cream (you could put it on the sole of your shoe and it would be tasty) but for me, it's the pot roast, need I say more!

Surprisingly I don't eat dinner at either, strictly lunch!
