Hi

For the past few months I have had a lump under my arm pitt, but for the past few weeks its starting to hurt and appears to be slightly bigger. My dh sais its nothing to worry about, recently my uncle has had skin cancer on the nose and his daughter has brain tumours and cysts on ovaries and knee. I am now starting to panic.

Has anyone else had any lumps or know of anyone else? If this is too personel please delete the thread. Thanks

I will make a doctors appt tonights, but not sure when I can get in. Especially when it comes to taking kids with you.

Thanks

Please please please get to a doc asap. Not to alarm you, its more than likely a cyst or a blocked gland (or could even be glandular fever related) but you need to know NOW :grouphug:

Yes, you need to see your doctor. Make sure you tell them about the lump and how long you've had it. There are glands that extend that far and a good doctor will check the armpit area when doing a breast exam. Hope it's nothing, but better safe than sorry. Good Luck :grouphug:

I had one of these under my arm pit, I went to my GP it was a swollen gland, I would recommend you go and see your GP, mine was painful and it went down by itself {hugs}

I agree. See your doc. ONe of my best girlfriends found a lump in the same spot last summer. She was pretty freaked out and couldn't see her doc for a day or two. I had her over for drinks that night. Helps to talk to your girlfriends. :grouphug:

Her doc agreed that it was nothing bad, just a blocked gland. It went away on it's own. Please don't wait, make an appointment.

Hi

Thanks for your support. I tried ringing the doctors, but they are closed this afternoon. I will phone them tomorrow morning to make an appt. My dh said he will come home from work early to look after the kids. I didnt want the kids to be there.

I could just imagine my 6 yr old asking why am I showing my ****s to the doctor :rotfl2:

Thanks for your support. My dh said he is sure it isnt anything to worry about, but he agrees to get it checked out in case.

:grouphug:

Please go, its probably nothing but its not worth taking that chance. :)

As everyone else has said please go to the docs :thumbsup2

I have suffered from very lumpy, sore armpits - until I realised that the only underarm deodorant I can use is fragrance free Mum

I even went so far as to pay for a mammogram (which was negative :cool1: )last year as I became somewhat paranoid

Chances are you'll be fine but don't forget to let us all know how you get on

Please get it checked out with your doctor :grouphug:

I had glandular fever a couple of years ago and got a lump in my groin and it was sore under my arms. Have you had any other symptoms like tiredness, feeling warm?
It is always best to check it out with the doctor as they can test the blood. As others have posted it could be something as simple as a blocked sweat gland. I hope everything is ok, sending pixie dust your way :wizard:

Everyone is right by saying go to the Drs.

I have had it myself a few times and it it a blocked gland, but I did need some medication for it, I left my first one for a while and it really hurt.

Hi, i have had one since i was 14 in my armpit and i developed one a few years back just below the armpit side of my breast.I was told it was a skin tag and i had to have day surgery,to get it removed. It was done under local anastetic. These are very common apparently.Do see your doctor , so they can reassure you.Take care :goodvibes

although it may seem bad, keep your chin up and visit doctors immediatly. the men and women on here seem to know there stuff. think postive. hugs are on there way...

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

As everybody else has said, please get it checked out :goodvibes

Good luck, Im sure it will turn out to be nothing to worry about :grouphug:

Obviously getting it checked out is important,

However I had a MASSIVE lump under my arm that just got bigger & bigger and it turned out to be in ingrowing hair from having my underarms waxed.

i hope this turns out to be nothing :grouphug: better to get it checked and know for sure
good luck :)

:grouphug: Hi Michelle, I hope that you manage to get to see the Doctor tomorrow and that it is something minor. A friend of mine suffered terribly with lumps under her arms and had to have them drained, but they cleared up after a while

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow

Hope it all is OK

sending you a :grouphug:
