Woohoo! :jumping1: Have a fun, safe, and relaxing trip! :grouphug:

:wave2: I wanted to pop in this morning and leave a "Welcome Home" message for you to find later! I hope your trip was truly magical. :goodvibes

Don't forget that we often need some extra time to ease back into the post-vacation routine. Cut yourself some slack over the next few days, WISH-sis.

Let me know when you're up for a KoP trip so I can hear all about your wonderful time in Disney!

 and

Welcome Home, princess: Erin!

I hope you had a wonderful trip! :goodvibes I agree with Doe.... please try and take it easy for a couple of days while you ease back in to your day-to-day routine. :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear about your trip! :teeth:

Jusy wanted to pp in a say Welcome home.

Take care and give yourself time to recover.

Stopping in to say hi to my WISH-sis. Hope all is well.

:wave2: Good morning, everyone! :grouphug: Thanks for all the kindness and happiness you sprinkled in my journal. . .what a nice welcome home!

We had a terrific time. :goodvibes The weather was warm and sunny (a shower or two every day, but nothing major) and the crowds were manageable. Lots of Disney :sunny: everywhere. :wizard: I'm not really a big trip report writer, but I'll try to post some highlights this weekend.

Right now I'm seriously into getting through the day to day. :p We got home Tuesday night around midnight (or is that Wed. morning???) and the routine started again yesterday morning at 5:45. Today's another long day, but after a nice break like we had, it's good to be back in the routine.

Speaking of routine  , I'm just beginning to find bits and pieces of mine.

Here's how today is shaping up:
1. Devotions: "But all this time God has helped me, and I have preached both to the rich and to the poor.” —Acts 26:22 CEV :)
2. Vitamins: I packed them but never took them. :confused3 Today I'll get back to them.
3. Water: In Florida, we couldn't get enough water. The humidity and heat left us puffy and thirsty! :p Today I'm going to drink a gallon at least!
4. Exercise: Sure walked a lot in WDW; none planned for today.
5. Food: Getting back to smaller portions today. Weaning myself back off overt sugars.
6. Scale: At least I got on the darn thing. Not a pretty sight, I have to admit. :guilty:

OK, so I've got a plan. I never kept my food journal up while away, but have started it back up today. My good intentions were only intentions, I'm afraid.

All right, I'm back in action. I'll try to get around and visit everybody the next few days.

With love,
Erin

WELCOME BACK!

I hope you had a fabulous vacation and I cannot wait to read your mini-report. Don't keep us in suspense to long!

Easing back into reality is the best way to do it. Try to keep that Disney Magic in your step a little longer.

~Amanda

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: ERIN'S BACK!! ERIN'S BACK!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Missed ya, can ya tell??? :rotfl2:

I'm so happy to hear you had a great trip. I see in your siggie that there's another one on the horizon! ;)

Take it easy today. Make time to just be.

KoP is possible on Sunday, but Saturday we have plans already. Wait and see how you're feeling - I don't want to overwhelm your schedule. I'll check the calendar for other open October dates.

Welcome back, princess: Lulu! and

Glad to hear you had a good trip. We are approaching 8 weeks with ours soon so I'm getting more and more excited each day!!!!! Welcome back and hope you have a good day.

Keep on
Chris

Beth

I just had to do that. After all, it's Friday, isn't it?

I also feel a need to do a little pink today. I guess there's just some of that Disney magic hanging onto me, and I don't want to let it go! :earboy2:

Yesterday was a great day, healthy living-wise and other-wise. I worked 12 hours, but got so much done and had such a good time with the kids and the families, the day just flew. I ate moderately well and, with God's help, managed to stay away from candy and other goodies. I drank lots of water, took my vitamins, and felt better connected to the task of taking care of myself.

Today's a new day, however, and I want to outline the ole plan:

1. Devotions :) A Time to Think:
A Time to Think:
Hold everything you own with an open hand. - Terri Green
To Act:
Love yourself first and everything else will fall into line.
To Pray:
Dear Lord, help me to stretch beyond what is comfortable. Help me to be my best.
2. Vitamins--will do
3. Water--will do
4. Exercise--won't do. It's too darn humid to go out and walk. That may be pretty feeble, but that's how I'm feeling. Also, after yesterday's long day and the need to recover from our trip, I'm thinking NOT getting on the treadie is a good decision for me.
5. Food--oatmeal with splenda, cinnamon, and milk. Of course, coffee. Lunch will be tuna. I'm not sure about dinner yet. Night time snack will be an English muffin
6. Scale--it's still so high I can't brink myself to write the number here in my journal. It seems that if I don't write it, it won't be permanent! ;)
7. Caffeine--after this morning's coffee, that's it for the coffee. The only other caffeine I'll allow myself will be a cup of green tea--just as an option.
Hey, ya gotta have options, right? :confused3

OK, what can I say about WDW? You guys know it all anyway--you're all experienced women.

:p Here are the lowlights first.

Hmmm. A lowlight. Hmmmm. Oh, I've got one (and only one, I'm happy to report). We stopped for our counter service meal on Monday in the MK. We went to the Village Haus, a cute Pinocchio-inspired place. THE PLACE WAS JAMMED! No tables upstair, no tables downstairs, wall to wall people (who'd of known this place would be a hot spot? :p ), SCREAMING, tired, and hot children, SCREAMING, tired, and hot parents. . .it was a Disney nightmare, honest to goodness. But at the same time, it was so funny! People were circling and looking for tables like they were animals ready to pounce, dragging their kids along by the arm. . .too many people having had a little too much of the good life, if you ask me. Everyone needed to just have a drink of water and a nap! :p

The rest of the trip was delightful. We stuck to our guns and didn't use our alarm clock, so we never made it to the parks until 10:30 or later (usually later). Epcot had Magical Hours the first night we were there, so we ran over and did the new ride "Soarin'" two times without a wait. It was WONDERFUL, definitely a must-do. Friday we spent in MGM--it was all good: special favorites were Millionaire (we love playing that), the Sci-Fi, the new car stunt show, Phantasmic--lots of fun. Saturday we spent at the MK and did all of our favorites with double trips through "It's a Small World" :goodvibes and "Philharmagic", plus rides on all the standards. Even had a good nap in the Hall of Presidents. :cloud9: We had dinner at the Crystal Palace and cuddled with Pooh and his friends. Had some showers during Spectromagic, but the rain had stopped by the time WISHES started. Ahh, Disney :wizard: . As we were leaving the park, we met up with a woman I know from church. It IS a small world, after all! :p Sunday we went to Downtown Disney. . .DD got some CD's at the Virgin Megastore. Sunday afternoon we had a late lunch at Le Cellier--Tracy, everything they say about this restaurant is true. It was a wonderful meal. Thankfully we were on the special free Disney Dining package, because our late lunch would've cost $150! And that's without any alcohol at all! Sunday night was Illuminations ("our" fireworks show). We love it. Monday we decided to opt out of Animal Kingdom (too humid for that place) and went back to MK and then to Epcot for DD's birthday celebration at Alfredos. After dinner we went over to the Boardwalk and walked around, then headed back to Illuminations (which was extra good because of my fiesta margarita! :p ). Tuesday we had a nice lunch at Tony's where we celebrated DH's birthday (which is tomorrow), headed back to MGM for a bit, then headed back to the All Star Music to meet the Magical Express to take us back to the airport.

We had a great time. :cloud9:

Yes, Doreen, another trip is in our future. Somehow (how this happened, I'll never know :confused3 ) we promised DD we'd take two friends of hers with us to WDW as a way to celebrate her 16th birthday. We didn't, however, want to celebrate in October--I knew I'd be a nervous wreck worrying about hurricanes (we left just before Tammy struck)--so we decided maybe a long weekend in January would do the trick! And give us time to save some $.

Now I've got to get back to work on the studio newsletter, buy some groceries, start the mountain of wash, and get ready for work.

I'm still trying to catch up on journals. . .should be around soon.

Thanks for stopping by, everyone.
Erin

Edit: :earseek: Guess that was a LOT of pink!

What did you eat at Le Celliers! I love that resturant my mouth is watering just thinking of the cheese soup!

~Amanda

Well, Amanda, since you asked. . . :p We were on the meal plan, so we had an appetizer, entree, and dessert that we were FORCED to eat. :p

I had the cheese soup (of course) for my appetizer. DD didn't want an appetizer (what??? :confused3 ) so I talked her into getting the cheese sampler (at 12.99) so that her dad and I could try it. Wise child, she complied. The cheese sampler, btw, is in itself a work of art.

For my entree I had the petite filet mignon. Perfect. That's all I need to say about that. DH had the NY strip. Also perfect. DD had pasta w/jumbo shrimp that she took off and gave to DH. (Uhh, are you getting the picture that DD's favorite culinary experience was NOT Le Cellier?)

Dessert for DH was the Chocolate Whiskey Cake. DD had raspberry sorbet served in a crystallized sugar bowl with chocolate in the bottom. I had a warm apple and dark cherry fruit cobbler with cinnamon ice cream and decaf.

Quite, quite lovely. :cloud9:

Oh, I'm going to spend a LOT of time today daydreaming about that wonderful meal at Le Cellier!!!! Sounds like a bit of heaven!

Um, and the rest of the trip sounded good too! ;)

Hi Erin,

You're making me want to go to Le Cellier! :Pinkbounc Cheese soup and a cheese sampler? :cloud9: Ahhh.... The power of cheese! :teeth: (Gee, doesn't Mickey like cheese too? ;) ) That meal sounds amazing! I'm not sure if it will fit into our budget, but we will most certainly try! ::yes::

I'm glad to hear that you had a wonderful trip! I'm sorry to hear about the experience at the Village Haus. We have had that experience before at Cosmic Rays: crowded tables, parents yelling, children crying. Maybe Tinkerbelle needs to spread some :wizard: over those places. :goodvibes

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! :sunny:

Well, it's a darn rainy day. :umbrella: I'm hoping our studio doesn't get flooded, though I feel almost ashamed in worrying about it when I think of the devastation that some people have seen the last few weeks. Some damp carpeting just doesn't seem like something to worry endlessly about, does it?

Yesterday was a terrific day! :Pinkbounc I got lots of work done in the morning (not housework  , but I did get the studio newlsletter almost done) and in the afternoon. DD had a sleepover and mall trip with some girlfriends, so DH and I went out for a nice dinner and then came home and crashed!

I read my devotions and managed to take my vitamins, drink lots of water, and eat reasonably well. Today I'm hoping to accomplish the same thing. No exercise today--to rainy and humid. Someday. . .

The plan:
1. Devotions :)
Daily Thoughts:
A Time to Think:
The longer we dwell on our misfortunes, the greater is their power to harm us. -Voltaire
To Act:
Involve yourself in the things you believe in, and your actions will give you strength.
To Pray:
Dear Lord, help me to see that my true freedom lies in You.
2. Vitamins--will do
3. Water--will do
4. Exercise--nope
5. Food--I'm gonna try to aim for 3 meals with protein.
6. Scale--moving down, but still not pretty :teeth:
7. Caffeine--had one mug for breakfast (about 12 oz.?) of coffee. Green tea later. Last night at dinner I had water with lemon--no diet coke.

Well, I think that about covers it. I'm off and into a new day. :goodvibes
Erin

I'm sending :goodvibes for a dry studio. :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock:

Yesterday sounds like it was a good one. A few more days of healthy living and that ole scale will be whistling a different tune. :rolleyes1 :flower:

I still haven't checked the calendar for possible KoP dates, hang on for a moment..... Okay, the calendar is looking busy. October 15th (next Saturday) or October 22 (Saturday) or 23 (Sunday) are the only dates for October. All of November is free except November 5 (the kids both take SATs). Hopefully one of those dates will mesh with your calendar. :hyper2:

Take care of you today! Here's some extra :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Erin,

I want to thank you for sharing this with your WISH buddies. :grouphug: I know that I have been trying to focus more on the "Problem Solver" than on my problems lately and this was a reminder to me that I need to do just that. Thanks!

Hope you have a blessed, relaxing Sunday! :goodvibes
