Luggage when self parking

We are driving our rental car to port from airport..leaving at parking...

When we get to terminal ...I think i understand this...
We have our luggage and carryons xrayed and then drop our luggage off and keep our carry ons?


And then when we disembark...do we take our luggage with us to breakfast (not sounding fun) or do we leave outside of door night before like the "regulars" and locate our luggage in terminal...

When you get to the terminal, you pull up to the luggage drop off area and they will take all of your luggage except for the things you carry on. You then park the car and go into the terminal building where they will x-ray whatever you are carrying on the ship. When the cruise is over, you must have all of your luggage out of the stateroom before you go to breakfast. You could drag it all with you to the restaurant, but normally you leave the big items outside your stateroom the night before you disembark. Be sure to keep clothes to wear the next day in your room! The luggage that you placed in the hall can be picked up in the luggage area of the terminal once you leave the ship. It's really quite convenient.

Luggage at the port is the same as if you were at an airport. You drop off your luggage alongside the terminal. It will be scanned before being brought on board ship. You then take your carry ons into the terminal and you pass through security just as you would an airport.

On the last night of the cruise, you put whatever luggage you want outside your door and you can pick it up in color coded sections that correspond to your deck in the terminal. You can take your carryons down to breakfast and then off the ship.

Just an add-on to what's been previously posted, we've done the same thing. Upon disembarking though, there are many porters waiting to assist you when you ride down the escalator. We had a nice young man who located our luggage, put it on the dolley, went through customs with us and brought the luggage to our car in the parking lot.
