Okay, I thought I posted one like this, but I don't know what happened to it. So here we go again.

We're staying at ASMo from 7/19-7/23 and then transferring to POR until 7/26. The CM on the phone told me that value resorts will NOT transfer luggage. People on here have told me that you can't take luggage on the buses.

Someone PLEASE help me with my dilemma!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been in this situation before - help!!! :worship:

Thanks!!

We will be going in April splitting our stay between CR and Poly. I was told they will transfer our luggage, and to notify them when checking in, but was told that is only becasue we staying at the monorail resorts.

I would call....

Your original post is over on page 3....these boards move fast!
So, I'll repeat what I said in that post...a lot of bad info being handed out.
Any WDW owned resort will move your luggage to another WDW owned resort. You need to call luggage services as early as possible...with the value resorts, I would call them the night before, alerting them to the fact that you will be transferring luggage the next day. Then, call them as early as is humanly possible that morning. Keep anything you may need in a tote bag..you will not get your bags until late afternoon.
I have done this several times and it isn't quick. I know the luggage people at POP are not nearly as quick as other resorts (and those resorts weren't what I would call quick to begin with!!).

You are correct, you are not allowed to take your luggage on the Disney buses. If you are going to head to the next resort early in the day, say before 10:00, I would be very tempted to just have a cab called, and take my luggage with me. I usually get my bags picked up, then I head out for breakfast, head to a park for a few hours and then head to the 'new' resort for lunch. I get checked in, sometimes I'm able to get into a room right away. If not, I just head out to a park.
But, if you don't head to a park right away, that cab may be a good way to go. Your bags can be stored right there, at the next resort and you'll have them when you are able to get into your room.

It's almost funny what you get told...I remember one friend of mine telling me that only guests staying at the GF were allowed to sit 'up front' in the monorail. Also...that those staying at the GF didn't have to make a transfer on the monorail if going to Epcot...they didn't have to get off the car they started on. Yep, some strange stories out there.

So they will pick up your luggage from your room for you at Pop? Thank goodness! I didn't know how in the world I was going to haul 4 suitcases, DS, a stroller, and whatever else we collect over our 2 days at Pop all the way back to the main building. I could just see it now! :rotfl:

Yes they will, but with you staying in the AS don't expect that to be a quick transfer! When we moved from ASSp to WL, ASSp actually "lost" our luggage. It took a lot of talking on the phone, but eventually late that night we received our luggage. The WL CMs were absolutely wonderful in trying to help us and keep our trip magical after that fiasco. So anything important you want, keep with you in case that would happen.

I'm thinking of just loading it all in a cab and bringing it myself. I don't need to add any stress to our trip:)
