Luggage transfer now luggage only, no food or meds?

Multiple FB posts yesterday (7/24) that Disney will still transfer luggage between resorts but not food or medications. Can anyone there now confirm? If true, I can understand their not wanting to be responsible for keeping items at proper temperature.

I booked a split stay at Grand Floridian for next month and they told me the same thing today on the phone. I can totally understand though. The added fridge/freezer stuff can make luggage transfer hectic. Add to that if Disney doesn't keep something cold enough or accidentally freezes something like meds.

Hmm wonder if that applies to DVC too. I would assume that it does but seems crazy if you have a split stay booked with rooms that have full kitchens and they won’t keep your food cold for you. I don’t cook on vacation but I would be frustrated if I were one of those owners.

It’s not clear yet, but I think the new policy is that they won’t transfer the cold items from one resort to another. But they will refrigerate/freeze items that you deliver to them. At least I’m hoping that’s the policy!
