Arriving into MCO around 1 p.m. then heading to Wilderness Lodge the night before our cruise. We typically don't have the best of luck with the tagged luggage transfer to the resort -- it either comes super late or the next day. Do you think we will be ok using it or should we drag our suitcases with us on the ME to the Wilderness Lodge? It is kind of a pain to do that because we don't need the suitcases ... but worried they might get lost and then not make it to the ship.... Other ideas?

Try not to worry about something that hasn't even happened yet and more than likely won't! Take your essentials with you in a carry-on and leave the suitcases to Disney!

Bon Voyage to you and your suitcases, too.

We've generally not had problems with luggage drop-off from MCO, except when the flights are later at night. With that said, when we fly in the day before a cruise, we usually drag our bags for peace of mind. Partly because if the airline screws up you have more time to track that bag down. It isn't hard to take your bags on the bus and they hold them for you at the hotel. The only hard part of getting your own bags is going between terminals (if necessary).
