Luggage Tags?

I have read some people writing that they have gotten luggage tags from Disney for their trip? How? I don't know if this makes a difference, but it seems that they booked "packages," is that how you get them? We didn't book our room and tickets together, and are not using ME, didn't know if this is why we haven't gotten any?

I got luggage tags the last time I booked a trip through a travel agent. I didn't book a package, though, just room-only and still got the tags (Tinkerbell, I believe).

I was wondering the same thing. We go atleast 6 times a year. Only ever book rooms as we have annual passes. We have never, ever gotten luggage tags. For that matter, we have never, ever gotten the famous free upgrade.

The only time I've ever gotten the luggage tags was when I booked through a TA, not when I've booked through CRO. This time, I've done both (split-stay, AP rate thing) so it will be interesting to see what happens in the luggage tag department.

I've never gotten the fabled free upgrade either, nor have I gotten a post-card. Ah, well, I'm still going to WDW so I guess it doesn't matter too much!

Just received mine in the mail today. They are very pretty, the "new castle". I did do a package but a couple of years ago I got them also and only did the room. That just confused you more didn't it.
