Luggage tags

I think I understand that my bags will be taken off the airport carousel and loaded onto the DCL transfer bus without my having to do anything. That's great. But, how will they know not to take my bags if I'm not taking the bus? Should I not put the luggage tags on prior to my flight?

If you're not using DCL's bus service to WDW (land/sea) or Port Canaveral you don't put the DCL tags on until you get to Port Canaveral ... hope that makes sense!

If I understand your question correctly, you haven't purchased the transfers? If so, then they won't take your bags. The luggage handling is part of the transfer package. If you're getting to the port via alternative transportation (i.e. rental car, limo/towncar service, etc.) then you shouldn't put the cruise line tags on your bags until after you've claimed them at the airport.

When your documents arrive, it should spell out pretty specifically what to do with your bags and tags.

OK, thanks a lot. I wasn't sure if maybe there was a different color bag tag for the DCL transfer users. I think I've got it under control now.
