Luggage tags for DME

How soon before my trip do I need to call and give my flight info to Disney? When I called to book my trip I did tell them that we would be using DME but I haven't called them yet to give them our flight info. Our trip is Nov 13th. My plan is to call them tonight but I have one person in our party flying out of a different city so I'm waiting on her info. Are we going to have trouble?? When will we get our luggage tags?? I should have done this weeks ago :0!!

Earlier is better than later, but a couple of weeks out will still be OK.

BTW, you don't really NEED to have the yellow DME bag tags.
If you just hand your regular airline baggage claim checks to the CM at the DME desk,
they can grab your bags using those and deliver them, as per usual.

Call asap. It does take about 10 business days for them to send the tags. The tags are nice to have, but they are not really necessary. If for some reason, you don't get them in time, save your baggage receipt from your airline. When you arrive at MCO, give your receipt to the castmembers at the Magical Express desk. They will collect your bags for you and deliver them to your resort. The one negative is that sometimes the line can be long at the Magical Express desk.

Just a FYI, they are sending them out already for that time frame. We leave for our trip 11/11 and received our tags last Wednesday 10/12.

if you don't have the yellow tags it can take longer for your bag to be delivered to the resort, even if you give them the tag info at the DME checkin. At least in my experience, when our party of two tagged one bag with the yellow tag and not the other. It took about 2-3 extra hours to get the second bag.
(in case people question why we had one tag between the two of us, it is because my solo trip turned into a take my sister trip at the last minute)
