I just wanted to say that I have JUST found the Creative DISigns thread (I've been glued to Weddings and Honeymoons since I arrived at DIS!) and I am blown away by all the DISigns I've seen. You're all such talented people, I just wish I had an ounce of your creativity!
The fact that you offer your services and spread so much pixie dust for so many families is just fantastic! You're all incredible!
I really don't know if any of you can help, but I figure if anyone can you can!
I know some of you already know my story so I won't bore you all with it again, but if you don't know and have a desire to know, you can find out all about my family and my forthcoming Wedding Vow Renewal over on my Wedding Journal!
So I am looking for help or ideas for 2 things...
Luggage Tags - I would like to send the guests for our wedding vow renewal disney luggage tags with their favourite (or appropriate) characters. It's just a little way to say thank you for making the trip to Florida to make my DW's day special.
The party is small, just 7 people. I can appreciate that it is really time consuming for anyone to make the tags for me but I'm willing to learn from you to do it myself, if you can help and advise me.
T-Shirts - We've been told that we are not allowed to wear our wedding attire for our reception meal because it's in a park! So I figured it might be nice to have t-shirts made for everyone so it still feels "wedding like" but we don't break any rules!
I was thinking having something on the back like "Jay & Amanda's Happy Ever After 18th February 2012" on the back and on the front their name or role in the wedding with like a name fill and a character or something. I have no idea if it's possible or how I would create the shirts! It's one of those "in my head" things that I don't even know if I can actually do!
So, over to you guys... do you have any ideas?
The guests consist of
Father of the Bride - Muppets Fan
Mother of the Bride - Mickey & Minnie Fan
Angie, Carolyn, Heather - The Princesses Fans
Bride - Stitch Fan
Groom - Donald Duck Fan
Little Princess - Lightening McQueen Fan
Joe & John - Mickey
Obviously, given the fact that my artistic and creative talents are as limited as a 3 year old, having one of you guys create DISigns for me would be great, but I know you're all busy people and I know it's a big ask, so I will be just as grateful if you can help or advise me on how I can do it! I'm willing to learn and I'll work hard on this between now and Feb to get these done, if it is indeed possible!
