I looked for a thread but didn't find one. I'm trying to find some good, sturdy luggage. We fly several times a year and seems like we always get home to at least one broken bag. I'll bet I've bought 4 sets of luggage in the past 5 years. Anyone have something they love. Two adults and a child who always overpack here.

Thanks in advance.

I liek travelpro luggage...i got the travelpro 22" last yr and i have flown on 9 round trip flights with it since i got it and it looks like its almost new....they can be very very expensive but if thats not a problem or you can find them on sale, i highly recommend that brand

We have American Tourister suitcases and have held up very well for the past several years. We bought them from Ebags through the Mousesavers link (saves 15% I believe)

We have the LL Bean Adventure rolling duffle bags and love them. They hold SO much, and we only have the Large size (they come in Medium, Large and Extra-large). They come in great colors and hold up so well to travel. Plus, best of all if something does happen to the bag LL bean has a lifetime guarantee - you can send it back for a replacement! They price isn't too bad either, I think they are around $100 each. Hope that helps!

We have Samsonite which, while it is great luggage and sturdya s heck, is also heavy when it is empty, which means I have to be VERY careful packing. I would urge you to keep that in mind when looking at luggage. Try to find sturdy, but lightweight, luggage.

Good point. Also most airlines won't let you fly with bags that they deemed "oversized" w/o paying a fee. Check your airlines specific requirements before buying.

I have been using Ricardo Beverly Hills luggage for a few years. My wife and I think they are great. We have never had problems and the 22'' uprights have always fitted in the overhead compartments. I would buy again if I needed to.
