Has anyone had any experience with either Claire Chase Luggage or Joy Mangano luggage? I am thinking about ordering new luggage and need advice on these two brands.
Thanks,

Don't know about Claire Chase but the Joy Mangano stuff has really been PANNED big time. There are 36 reviews that basically talk about how bad it is. I do like her hangers though.

Poor quality, not for frequent flyers (Elena, NY)
05/20/2006First time I opened the zipper on the corner pockets, the fabric covering them pulled away. Inner bag packs easily when hung, but pants would bunch at bottom. By 6th use, lower strap to close the garment bag came off--now pant legs flop out. When you fill the outer pockets, be careful it doesn’t get too heavy to lift & position onto the bracket. Shoes in lower pocket compete for the space taken up by the corner pockets when you fold bag to close it. Last straw: came off baggage claim missing 1 wheel. IMHO, outside lacks padding for a laptop. When full, it’s way too heavy to lift into overhead. Best thing: large corner pockets that held all my toiletries & make-up using gallon-size, freezer bags to prevent leaks. If you take road trips instead of plane trips, this bag might be just fine. I found the exterior doesn't stand up to frequent airport baggage handling; interior is poorly executed and bag just doesn't close easily.

terrible luggage- (Lillian, TX)

05/14/2006This luggage is awful. You can't use the part to hang the clothes in unless you just take 2 outfits. This is a total waste of money. I wish I had of never bought this. Also, her storage boxes are cheap made too. I could have gotten some cardboard ones and covered them and they would have done better.

Inadequate handles

05/13/2006I have purchased two to the Clothes it All and the comfort grip handles detached on both of them. It is very difficult to manage without the handles. I do love the suitcase and it holds a lot of things...just wish the handles were sturdier.

A Waste of Money (Deborah, VA)

05/06/2006I bought this as a two piece set with the tote. After my third international flight with this as checked luggage, the 'comfort grip' handle on the top detached. After a couple more trips the stabilizers on the bottom were missing when I claimed my luggage at the airport. It's definitely not strong enough to withstand the rigors of airline baggage handling so don't expect it to last long unless it's strictly as carry on.

JUNK, not even one star (Janie, NY)

04/27/2006I was thrilled when I saw this on air. Then it came to my door. What a let down, it was heavy even before it was packed. To pack it was a problem, not enough room. When I got to my destination, the side handle broke off. It was almost impossible to lift the clothing out of the shell with clothes and side pockets filled. When I return from my trip, I contacted HSN, they totally ignorned my letter. I was out over $135.It can with a second carry on, so it was $119 plus shipping, handling and taxes. I couldn't even give it away; the person purchased a bag at Wal-Mart instead.
